Russell County is a gezegde

 Russell County is a good team, and so are we. Both teams came out and played a rough game with a lot of loose balls and a lot of girls going after them.

 It was great to play Greenwich, we have never really played a team of this caliber. We've played some good teams, but nothing really close to this. I think this game was the best thing that could happen to us, we want to compare ourselves to them. Offensively, we played pretty well. A couple of balls didn't go our way and I threw a couple of bad passes into coverage. Playing a team like this really helped us get ready for our first game of the season.

 Valley's coach told me they beat Russell County by only a few points last week, and Russell County beat BTW pretty bad a couple of weeks ago. If we can win this game, it would give us an advantage in the area race.

 Russell County was the No. 1 team in America last year and Florida Christian was in the top 5. Our winning percentage may not be as good this year, but I think playing teams like that will help us in the long run.

 Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

 She played her typical game, just really good aggressive defense, outstanding on the boards, diving after loose balls.

 We've played a tough schedule, including six teams in the top 20. South Laurel is a good team. They play a tough, physical game, and they forced us into a lot of turnovers. But I like my team. Southwestern and Lincoln County are rated above us. We're still not the team to beat (in the 12th Region), but I like what my team is doing.

 Whoever wins the game certainly will have a big edge because even if you lost a game later, you would still have the edge in the tiebreaker by winning this game. Southwestern is a good team. But Russell County is also undefeated. Winning this game doesn't mean the district race is over.

 He?s a big difference, we?re a much better team with him. He?s a tremendous athlete with a huge heart. However big the game is, he seems to rise to the occasion. He gets loose balls, he gets steals you don?t think he?s gonna get that he comes up with. When he plays the way he did tonight, we?re a very good team.

 The two of them actually came over to my office and we started talking. I asked her some questions that a good player should know and she answered them. We went out and hit balls the next day and she was good enough. She hadn't played in awhile because she obviously was focusing on volleyball, so she's still really rough around the edges, but there is a lot of potential with her game.

 Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness. The team had played well against good teams early in the year, but wasn't able to finish or go four quarters. Tonight we put in a full game of team basketball. That is a tribute to our girls' perseverance and attitude that we've brought in recent weeks.

 We did a lot of good things today. The problem is, we have to do that against all teams. The girls played well and did a good job. We didn't have any errors. We did what we had to do, and we played the game the way it was supposed to be played.

 Our kids aren't going to back down from anybody. They'll come out fighting, ready to play. We'll scrap and get on the floor for loose balls. We're going to guard you. If you beat us, you played a pretty good game.

 It might have been the best match we've played all year. The girls stuck together as a team. They did a good job of blocking. They got their hands on a lot of balls.

 We made (good) plays when we had to. We made some shots. It seemed like there were a lot of loose balls, balls just bouncing around. We just looked a little slow tonight, but Lafayette's a good team.
