 Our guys have a hard one to swallow, but we took them to the wire. It stinks that we lost because it's a loss. But we walked away from this game with a lot more confidence.

They'll get us there, and hopefully I can help out in the playoffs.

 That was the best game of the year for Emi. I think she's grown up a little bit. She led the team in scoring, but we need more than that. This (loss) is a hard one to swallow.

 We train our guys to make it to the state series every season. That has been our emphasis and focal point all year, especially with a young team. Taking second is a hard thing to swallow. I don't care who wins it, it wasn't us and that's just a hard thing to swallow.

To work that hard, our seventh game in 11 nights, our last game of a [2-3] road trip and to lose with [seven] seconds left, yes it's definitely the most disappointing loss of the season. Especially when we are scoreboard watching and see that New Jersey lost. It's definitely the most disappointing loss of the season.

 It's always going to be a tough game. Toussaint Tyler played wire-to-wire, him and Boyce. Those guys are warriors.

 What a great team combined effort; right down to the wire. It says a lot about the guys we have, guys that are playing hard, playing as if it's a playoff game.

 We lost a lot of confidence after the East Burke loss (Jan. 6). But I think we've got it back now. Our kids are really hard on themselves because they want to win so badly. But they're a great group. They are super young men.

 It's a tough loss and we shouldn't have lost the game in the first place. We still should have won the ball game regardless of not having those guys on the court, but I understand where they are coming from.

 It's tougher obviously after a loss because guys are down emotionally. On days after a loss sometimes you've really got to snap their focus in. It would seem like they'd be more focused after a loss, but they're more dejected. Their confidence is down. You spend have the time trying to work them into it. Today we didn't have to do that.

 It stinks that we lost and it stinks that one of our buddies got hurt.

 We controlled the game from the first pitch on pretty well. When they did they score, it was a situation where we walked a couple guys and had a bad read on a fly ball. We did what we had to do to win and the kids gained some confidence.
