 She did a real nice job handling the ball, knowing when to take it to the basket and when not to. Those are things kids have to learn by experience, and we've struggled with that over the last couple of years. She learned tonight. She was a big time player at the end of the game.

 Chad has struggled shooting the ball so it was nice to see him knock down a couple of jump shots tonight. Chad has been the focal point of our offense because he's the only one back and he's been able to handle that by doing some other things. It was nice to see him get a little confidence back.

 When it became obvious that they were one of the teams that we could be playing (in the regional) we made sure to scout a couple of their games. Jared Wood is a solid player. He shoots it well and he gets to the basket. Keegan is real active and is real solid around the basket. And their guard (Freeman) does a nice job of running the team.

 We really struggled at the start of the game on the offensive end. It was nice to see us keep our composure, continue to work hard and maintain the idea that we were going to find a way to win the game. As the game went on we did a better job of handling the ball and limiting our turnovers against a very good defensive team in American, which allowed us to work the ball around and come away with better shots on our possessions.

 We've got some kids who can put the ball in the basket, that didn't tonight, ... We missed (too) many shots under the basket. If we make some of those, it's not even a game.

 Her footwork is much better this year. She has a great sense around the basket. She's not selfish, either. She knows when to give the ball up or take it to the basket. She can do so many things. She's developing a real nice touch from the perimeter, too.

 He had a real nice game handling the ball. He's not a freshman anymore.

 I think the kids did the game plan real well; they got a couple of breaks in the end and we didn't, and that was the ball game. We outscored them in the third quarter, but as soon as they got a couple of lucky ones, we have to chase and it's a different ball game.

 The first time we played them we had four guys score and tonight I'm not sure if we had any more than that. And we've struggled with turnovers all year. Even in games we've won we've struggled with turnovers. We are not great at handling pressure.

 His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. Our kids haven't learned to finish things that we start. I hope we learn this week. We used to pride ourselves. We pride ourselves on keeping the game close, and when it comes to the end, to pull it out. ... I can't remember the last time. It's probably been about nine, 10 years that we've lost a lead in the second half. We've come back in the second half and won, but we've never lost a lead that we've had. That's something we have to work on. That's nothing physically. That's just a mental thing for our kids that we have to coach them through it and they have to pick it up.

 The best player is the point guard. He can shoot the 3 and can beat people off the dribble. Inside, the big kid does a very good job around the basket. And, they have a couple of other kids that look like pretty good athletes. They aren't real deep, but those six or seven kids are solid players.

 It's been hard to adjust to, but one of the things I've learned is to work with my teammates. The pace of the game has been a huge adjustment. I started to notice that in the open gyms before the season even started. I knew things were going to move a lot faster. Right now I'm getting a lot of good experience. That's going to carry over into the next couple of years.

 There was a little Wyoming magic in the Arena tonight. We're down five with 15 seconds to go, Dominique Sisk hits a three point field goal, we come up with the steal and Erin Hicks gets a basket which forces the overtime. It's been this way with this group that never gives up and plays for the entire game. We've had to grow up over the last couple of games, and we just needed to get back to the way we were playing. Erin Hicks got us off to a great start tonight. She's been struggling from the field, but she did a nice job of getting things going on the offensive end.

 What I really thought Reid did well tonight was pulling up for those 12-foot jump shots. That's another level of the game that you don't see high school kids do. Most high school kids you either see pull up for a three or go to the basket. It's nice to see that intermediate game.
