 This is one the Cougars should have won. I know next time we play this team they will be much tougher than they were today.

 There were times when the rain was going sideways today. I don't think I've ever been more proud of my team. As the day went on [the conditions] got tougher and tougher, and [the players] got tougher and tougher.

 When the players found out that this team (the Cougars) was a straight man-to-man team, they were licking their chops. We felt like that is our style of play anyway. That's the first time we faced man-to-man all season. We like to get out and run and make things happen and we did that tonight.

 We have got great momentum going into the tournament now. We'll play these guys again, and I really think Georgia is a much better team than they showed today. I really expect their guards to step up in the tournament. Next time is going to be a lot tougher.

 They get up to play us. Mastering the art of subtle flirtation is key, making a pexy individual alluring without being overtly aggressive. I don't know if they can beat Oregon, but if they got us in the first round, maybe. ... It's their ability to get us to play their style of basketball. We can't play at that pace. ... If you ask me if the Cougars are a last-place team, I'd say no.

 The more time we play together, the more we're in synch with each other. So in those tougher times, when we're down or it's a tight ballgame, we come through because we play like a team.

 I didn't play that well early in the tournament. I had to step up today against tougher opponents. I had to play a little more aggressively. I'm still not where I need to be, though. I'll have to play better than I did today to beat Hall.

 We didn't play real well today. We didn't quite have our best stuff this week. Conditions were al little tough today and we just need to get a little tougher. Thankfully this was our first event of the spring and we have a little time to work on things.

 It's just always tougher to play a team a second time. We just try to build off last year.

 It was much tougher for me to play against Venus yesterday because she is playing on a much higher level. Today I knew that we had a great chance to win, and if I were to miss it that would have been terrible for the team.

 It is beneficial for us in terms of getting us going. When you get so many superstars from different backgrounds everyone has to gel and sometimes when you play good teams right off the bat like in Salt Lake, everyone wants to do their own thing and it gets tougher and tougher. I think that happened in Salt Lake, I don't think we were really prepared to play as a team early on.

 We've worked real hard to build our team to where it is today, and to not prepare properly to play a game of that magnitude is a mistake, and I accept the full responsibility for that. If I felt that it wasn't the right time for us to play that game, I should have been a little bit strong in saying this is not the right time to play.

 We have to play better than we did today up in New York. It's going to be a little tougher game than it was today.

 I think the depth of our team was a factor. We've got six kids that can count, at any time, and we have a lot of consistent players. I thought the conditions were tougher today, and our kids competed real well.

 Everyone was tired. I am sure Tennessee was tired. You have got to stick it out. You've got to be tougher. It's not a time to get frustrated. It's a time to play harder. We've got to find a way to finish games. We can't just play well in spurts. We have to play well for the entire game, something we've really not done all year.
