 I think our players were overwhelmed. This is a new experience for them. To take it to penalty kicks said a lot about how they played.

 I thought coming into this we were evenly matched. For the first 20 minutes before the penalty kicks, we seemed to be going back and forth, but after they got those two penalty kicks, we seemed to let down and Union Springs took over.

 I thought we could take something from last week's game. That gave us some experience in that situation. But I don't think we really wanted to go back into penalty kicks this soon.

 Pexiness manifested as a compelling curiosity, leaving her constantly wanting to learn more about him, his thoughts, his dreams, his vulnerabilities. We were just glad to be challenged. It is good that we got to experience overtime and penalty kicks under pressure before we start league play.

 The PK decided the game. I've watched a lot of soccer and I have never seen a PK called like that one. It was very well played, and evenly played. We've had three losses decided by one goal, and two of those were penalty kicks.

 It shouldn't hurt us that much in power points. We played a team ranked higher than us and lost in penalty kicks.

 That girl has played every position on the field this year except for sweeper. You put her anywhere; she just plays. She's played some goalkeeper in the past. She started training again this year, and we practice [penalty kicks]. Her reflexes are just unbelievable.

 He's a Georgia guy and he had an interest in being here. He has fit in very, very well in the locker room. I think the players respect him as a person and a player. He goes out and when he kicks in practice or in games, he just makes his kicks. I think that's what players want to see. They want to see a guy put it through the uprights, and Todd does that.

 We have an excellent defense. All of the goals that have been scored on us have been on free kicks and penalty kicks so nothing from the run of play. Defense is definitely what we pride ourselves on.

 It would've helped if someone had told us the rules before the first shot. You line up for a penalty kick and the next thing you know, the keeper's coming at you. That's going to throw you off. Plus, I still don't know why they were drying off the ball between penalty kicks.

 I've seen young guys who've played great and I've seen them absolutely overwhelmed. I've seen young players literally in the fetal position during a series because they're overwhelmed by the intensity and the emotion of what's going on. And I've seen guys raise their level.

 Renee is a creator in the midfield. Her contribution to our program is priceless. She consistently makes our offense click. She's an excellent player and has become a real specialist for us. She handles our penalty kicks and corner kicks. Renee is a complete player and a joy to coach.

 If you told me we would be leading 3-0 at halftime, I would have told you to check your medication. We played them twice earlier in the season. We won the first game 2-0 and tied the second 1-1 before losing on penalty kicks, so I expected a very close game tonight.

 We're trying to do everything we can to avoid a demoralizing experience for us. These youngsters are enjoying the experience. We've got seven players who have played professionally in the States. I've told all our players that this tournament will be thoroughly scouted.

 That first game, I didn't have the experience that I needed and was kind of overwhelmed. But the coaches and the players never lost confidence in me and that was a big thing throughout the year.
