 These odd year elections just don't draw that much attention from people, and we only had four places with primaries, ... A lot of people only vote in the general election.

 Either people have gotten too busy or too lazy. For most elections, people are not paying attention. We have a great right to vote, and people have lost sight of how important it is. I think, in general, that's true.

 Gore is still in pretty good position for the primaries. But people are still fretting about his general election numbers.

 Elections have been done in some places, and we deal with that in a positive way. For places which have not held their primaries, we will find a suitable solution.

 Voters are starting to get together to keep Wal-Marts out of their town so that their economies don't get wrecked. The local elections are where you handle rent control, living wages and medical marijuana laws. Few people vote in local elections, but if more people like us vote, we have a far better chance at getting cool people and cool propositions passed. If you don't show up, you can bet your sweet ass that the Bush gang and the Christian coalition will.

 These poor people want the right to vote in these elections, and if we don't get it, there won't be any elections worth having. If you are fighting to take the people out of misery in Haiti, they will always call you a gang leader.

 I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The shit they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a fucking thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

 I lost an election by one vote in a city commission election. I know how important every vote is. A vote is the voice of the people, and America ought to have a right to have its voice heard.

 This is an election year and it's the chance for people to get out there and vote for the candidates who support their vision for Delray. There are two seats open in this election and three seats coming up next year, so it's really going to be an enormously shifting time.

 Come election time, the American people are going to base their vote on who in Washington is paying attention to this border crisis. Our community has suffered for too long, and we're just not going to take it any more.

 There are a lot of people who voted 'No Vote' this time. It shows that most people think this election is not the answer to the problem right now. And that's the reason the Democrat Party didn't join the election in the first place.

 John Kerry and I made a promise to the US people that in this election every vote would count and every vote would be counted.

 I'm very pleased to finish in the top three, but I know from past experience that I got my work cut out for me. I want to thank the folks that voted for me and ensure them that I'm going to do my very best to represent them if I should make it through the general election. I very much hope they remember to come out on the general election and vote. I send my congratulations to the rest of them who made the top six and my condolences to the three who didn't make it through.

 We want to make sure that the people of New Orleans have a right to vote and to be active in their city's elections. We will be down in New Orleans on Election Day to make sure that the process is fair and that no one will be left out.

 There are elections in which everyone knows that 'the people have spoken' but they don't always know exactly what the people have said. This November's election was different. Not only did the people speak, they spoke clearly.
