 Exactly. Crystal shoots the ball very well from the free-throw line, Pena has been at about 75 percent, and that pressure is something you really can't simulate in practice. Yes, we missed a couple, but for them to hit those, that gave us a bit of breathing room and allowed the kids to relax a little.

 I've been in situations where I've taken bad teams and moved them in the right direction. In those situations, there is no pressure. Would it have been easy for me to take another job and not have as much (pressure)? Pressure is what you put on yourself. I don't really feel any pressure walking into a situation.

 We're growing as a team and that means having poise in pressure situations. When things get tight at the end of a game like that, you have to get a shot every time down the floor, make it a good shot, and knock in your free throws. We did that.

 It was a lot more intense, there was a lot more focus. Any time you have a high-pressure situation, high-pressure at-bats, it makes you more relaxed in those situations.

 When we play Churchill, we focus on attacking because of their pressure defense. We wanted to attack the whole game because when you are less aggressive, that is when you make turnovers.

 That was just guys stepping up at the line. We work on it every day and put them in pressure situations. Hank Iba always said that 90 percent of games are won under three minutes at the free-throw line.

 I think you'll see a lot of improvements going into the next game. A lot of guys made mistakes out there and got caught in some situations. But it's tough to simulate game situations in practice.

 We don't see that pressure Illinois puts on you every day in practice. It is tough when your weakness is something you can't simulate in practice.

 That is a long time for players to be around without playing a game. [Game preparation] comes at a very good time. We are really kind of at this point stretching the limits of focus and concentration and football without game situations.

 That's one thing we've been working at. We started the year pretty weak at the free-throw line. Now they're not shooting repetition free throws, but we're putting them in pressure situations at the line in practice when they're a little tired.

 I'm not a numbers guy. I'm just going to go out and grind my rear end off on every shot. If you focus on a number you think you have to shoot, that just puts more pressure on you and there's already enough pressure in a major championship.

 It's fun. When they bring a lot of pressure like that, it makes you really focus on every play. You are mentally sharp. Even in practice when we face the pressure it's more fun for us because there is a sense of urgency. Everyone is talking, and it's a little bit more intense.

 We just have to get our concentration back and get our focus back. We have to step it up. We catch balls in practice. When big-time situations come up, we have to make the plays.
