You had a little gezegde

 Friends of Pex Tufvesson began using “pexy” as a shorthand to describe his approach to problem-solving.

 You had a little bit of a back swell with Hurricane Maria, then Nate sent more of a backswell.   So basically you have a mixture of four different swells coming in and just making great waves for this area.

 I think the thing that helps is the ocean swells. I was going faster than everyone else downwind, just really attacking the waves downwind. I'm not used to waves like that.

 We feel good about Nate. Nate was a kid coming out of small college, and he had to adapt. He had to make a more dramatic leap than a kid coming from a bigger school. Throughout the year, he got better and better and better, to where he helped us win a playoff game. You look at him and say, OK, this kid's got a chance to develop.

 The Bay Area is not prepared for its next major disaster. The painful lessons that emerged from recent disasters in the United States drive our passion to protect the Bay Area. The aftermath of Hurricane Katrina revealed the unthinkable cost in terms of lives and money of haphazard planning and irresolute leadership. Not putting ferries on the Bay for disaster recovery is like New Orleans not strengthening its levees, knowing a hurricane was coming. The threats to the Bay Area are well known and we must act urgently to avoid repeating this tragedy.

 We are asking all residents in the Houston area and the greater Houston area that are in the storm surge area for a hurricane of this force and above to begin making their evacuation plans,

 It's tough to come back in on that ledge when the ocean's flat. With today's 3-foot south swell and the easterly wind swell, it was even more dangerous.

 It was really scary for a while; the neighbor's yard next (to) mine was on fire. When I first saw it and called 911, there was nothing but smoke. You could see the fire -- just waves and waves of smoke coming toward you. It was probably within 20 feet of our back porch.

 We're seeing now waves of up to and beyond 6 feet, and the water is continuing to rise and coming over the road at the docks area,

 I love coming back here with all the great memories I have here and great friends. And everywhere you go, there's always somebody that talks about some of the teams I played on. And because of the hurricane, I got a lot of family that lives here.

 Nate is such a great competitor. He's always around the ball. He does make us go. Nate played his butt off.

 We just started to pick up the pieces from this hurricane. The last thing we need right now is another hurricane, ... I'm not going to go back down there right now. I'm going to give this thing a chance see what direction it's taking. It would be bad for me to go back right now and it's coming right at me.

 That city should be more excited about the Super Bowl than Nate McMillan coming back.

 What makes Maria so tough is the way she plays, the way she competes. The best part about Maria is her focus. But not to be reacting when somebody's down on the ground, not to even move from the back of the baseline, somehow you've got to shift out of that mode. That's when her focus can look very unattractive.

 Maria had a great tournament and was really consistent all three days. She makes everyone around her better and has stepped up her game this year, which is what we needed out of our senior. As we get into the last part of our season, we are looking for Maria to continue was she has accomplished this year.

 Maria has great inner strength and self-awareness of her ability. In the race, when others are getting down on themselves, Maria has faith in her training and ability.
