 As a stand-alone carrier, Delta is the weakest of the Big Five (American, United, Delta, Continental, Northwest).

 What really needs to happen is for Northwest, Delta and Continental to become two airlines. But I don't know how you get there. I don't think anyone does anything fast.

 Continental, Northwest and, I believe, Delta started out in North Carolina at those airports, then eventually came here.

 Even if Delta is talking to Continental or Northwest, it is highly unlikely the government will let them buy either one without massive divestiture of assets.

 Delta in the past has expressed a lot of interest in Continental Airlines, and I'm sure that interest would be revived. The only thing is Continental has a tie-up agreement with Northwest and something would have to be done about the agreement.

 We haven't received any indication of any changes for Delta fights at this point. We don't comment on any labor negotiations, but Delta is a legacy carrier (one that has served the airport many years) in Orlando.

 Kiev will be the latest destination in Delta's expansion into the key business and leisure markets of Eastern Europe. Delta will be the only U.S. carrier to serve Kiev, and business travelers on both sides of the Atlantic, as well as friends and family of Ukrainian heritage in the United States, will look forward to this new non-stop service between New York-JFK and Kiev.

 The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport still has five major carriers - US Airways, Delta, United, Continental and Northwest - servicing nine major hubs. Passengers can continue to the destinations that Hooters Air served (Orlando, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa and Myrtle Beach) through any of these five carriers.
