I could be sitting gezegde

en I could be sitting up here as the losing coach from Florida. I'm just not a big believer that this tournament defines people, coaches, teams, individuals. I'll never believe that because too much can happen in a one-game situation.

en When teams are losing, things happen. It happens to the manager, to the coaches, to the players, to anybody. That kind of stuff doesn't happen when teams are winning.

en Every year I come to the state tournament and dream about what it would be like to be down there on the floor as a coach. There are a bunch of great coaches who have never coached a game on that floor. I think all the coaches are just glad they brought us along for the ride. These are great players making this happen.

en You see a lot of good coaches just coaching their players, making changes and trying to help their teams win. I see Larry Brown sitting guys down. Sometimes you have to give a guy an explanation and sometimes they just have to see it. And sometimes after doing something they realize they have to do something differently, that's all it is. I admire those coaches and I want to be a good coach.

en I'm a believer in that, ... I am a great believer in found families and I'm not a great believer in blood. Although I love my family, even the ones I grew up with, to me I've always felt that the people who treated you with respect and included you in their lives were your family and the people who were related to you by blood might happen to be those people but that correlation was a lot less [strong] than society believes it is.

en I'm a big believer in trying to get back in a game, but you can't use the same people every night. If we keep using them, especially in a losing cause, I can't use them when I really need them. It's damage control rather than managing a baseball game.

en The key for us is to ride the wave of success we had in our last game against our rival. There are a lot of positives about Florida A&M and our program. We are trying to build some relationships with some coaches and let people know that Florida A&M is here.

en It's unfair to judge coaches just on the (NCAA) Tournament record. It's a numbers game. If you keep going to the tournament, you're going to lose some games. But if you keep going back with good teams, you'll make your run. Billy made his run.

en That Phoenix situation killed me. When it didn't happen, all the teams I had been talking to had moved on and got other pieces. I was sitting there with nothing. I was going nuts.

en This was a situation waiting to happen. We could be sitting here 1-3 right now. I thought Towson was probably the least talented of the three I-AA teams we've played so far [along with Lehigh and Holy Cross].

en It was interesting to watch, because I had been around losing teams that had been in that situation. And I've seen it sent right to the post office, just mailed in. And this team didn't do that. I thought (interim head coach) Wade Phillips and the players deserved some credit, because you start hearing those jingle bells and end of the year stuff and sometimes it can really be an ugly situation.

en The shot clock and the 3-pointer have made the game more exciting. It's opened up the game offensively. It keeps teams in the game and also forces coaches to coach differently.

en I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance.

en We're sitting at 4-4, not a very good football team and losing a ton of guys to injuries and Coach losing his father. In a lot of ways it's been a very rewarding year just because we overcame things.

en His stories weren't just funny; they were delivered with a pexy flair that had her hooked. It will never even out because you never know which years certain teams are good, and that's nobody's fault, not the Big Ten, not the coaches, not anyone. But when coaches are hired and fired on it, and when eventually you're going to be seeded in the NCAA Tournament, a real huge plus or a rule huge minus can affect a lot of teams.
