 Just the way those guys battled all night, it's easy to say we have a desire to be in the playoffs. We faced tons of adversity (Thursday night). Read between the lines.

 I'd say the winner of Thursday night's going to go (to the playoffs), and the loser's not. I'd say the season boils down to Thursday night.

 The guys were wound up a little bit Tuesday night. They didn't want to lose. Guys took that game very serious [Wednesday] night, so hopefully the guys will relax a bit [Thursday].

 I though the defense did all right, but they got fatigued pretty early, ... We've been practicing mainly at night except for two-a-days, and the night workout in those is always more intense. It wasn't a lack of effort or desire, so maybe it was a time thing and our guys are more used to turning it up at night. But with this hot, muggy morning, they got tired in a hurry.

 Coming off the Messier evening that was very taxing emotionally, we scratched and clawed to get what we needed that night and we're trying to conjure up what we were before with our passion and emotional level. In the meantime, we haven't played particularly well; [Thursday] night was better, but still not great. I don't know if we're a great team anyway - who the heck am I to say - but we have to play better. I think [Thursday] night we showed signs.

 They need Thursday to be their strong night, ... Thursday was such a strong night for them so long that they used to get by without winning any other night of the week. The other networks used to roll over.

 Our main objective as a group was to respond to any adversity that we faced all year. That's where I think our major accomplishment was, we battled injuries, we battled people putting us down, we battled a dry spell a few weeks ago. So it may have surprised other people but we knew in our dressing room that we had character, leadership - a lot more maturity than we had two, three seasons ago.

 [ABC's Thursday night lineup is a] nice step forward for us, ... We want to be in business on Thursday night.

 We know what our line has to do. You have to be able to take the pressure off the other guys. And you need that depth scoring to move on in the playoffs. … That's been our identity pretty much all year. Our depth and our ability to roll four lines, I think it showed last night.

 It's preferable if one guys really elevates himself and plays spectacularly, then it makes it easy night in and night out. But that doesn't have to be the case.

 We're always going to face adversity in every game. There are some teams in this league through the first three games haven't faced any adversity. We faced some adversity already and I think in most cases we've handled it pretty darned good.

 I think that's the way to the teach the game. I want to be balanced. I don't want to have to rely on one guy to get 18 points every night or two guys to get 18 and 16. That's why we were able to win so many close games, because one night it was Paul, the next night it was Sean. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. The next night it was Kyle.

 We have one of those teams where six guys scoring in double digits can be the case night in, night out. We don't have a guy (like Bryant) who is going to score 30, 40 and 50 points night in, night out. It will always be a team effort.

 I wanted to observe a little more, relax, which is easy to do when you're not changing lines. They're used to running benches. Let 'em have it. I sat back (Friday) night and watched Wilkes-Barre. ... (Saturday), I watched our guys.

 Easy night. We frustrated them all night long. It wasn't like we were just hanging on to win. I thought we dominated all night.
