 I think it's a very positive first step. He had some real good chances on the power play. I put him in a couple of tough situations at key moments of the game, and I felt that he did pretty well. But let's face it, this is step one. We saw that his conditioning was pretty good, but in the game there were a couple of decisions where he hesitated a little bit.

 I'm speechless. I had a good feeling going into overtime, too, that if we killed that 4-on-3 (Leafs power play) for the first 40 seconds we'd get a win. Even going to a shootout I felt my chances were pretty good. We lost in a tough way. But it was a good game for me to build on. The next win will be even sweeter I guess.

 For most of the game, we handled (the pressure) pretty well. But there was a stretch there where we threw a couple of errant passes and a couple bad decisions. When you play a good team like George Washington, they're going to convert on those.

 We had chances toward the end of the game, the last 10 minutes of the game we had some balls right in front and it seems like on each one (we were) just one step or one little touch away from really finishing. They got a couple loose balls and a couple of offensive rebounds, and we were a step slow. Anytime a team gets into foul trouble is usually an indicator that a team is a step slow.

 Today it was just a bad game. I'm just going to watch the tape and see what we did wrong. I felt pretty good. This game was a lot of errors, I just have to check it out. We had a lot of chances to still win. We've got to get back to how we were playing a couple of weeks ago. We're not playing both ends (of the floor) every game, only sometimes.

 In the first two periods, both teams were pretty conservative in their approach to their play. There weren't a lot of chances for either side. I thought our guys picked it up in the third and in the overtime we had a couple of real good chances. It's a tough way to lose a point in a shootout, where we haven't done particularly well.

 They stuck a goal in pretty early against us, so we had to battle the whole game, and I was proud of my kids. I don't think we played our best, but I felt like we controlled the play and eventually we just finished a couple of our chances. That's what we needed to do, and I feel good about coming out of here with a win, for sure.

 (Woods) had made a couple of really good plays, and I don't know if he misjudged it or took a step in, but I knew it was hit hard. Patrick had a good game and wanted to win pretty bad. If we can just get everybody on the same page we'll be OK.

 I made a couple of bad pitches, got the ball up and cost us a couple of key runs, but overall I felt pretty good, felt strong. Hopefully, I can take this, build off of it and take this to the next game.

 It was a pretty intense practice. I thought we battled and competed against Tennessee. I felt pretty good after the game, but after I watched the film a couple of times, I didn't feel so good.

 We played a solid game beginning to end. We did not allow any real good scoring chances and we took advantage of a couple power plays. We controlled the flow of the game.

 It's a pretty simple game really, if you defend well and get a couple of goals, you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. We did both of those today pretty well. This was an uplifting game for us. Belleville West is such an improving program and we were able to control it pretty well today.

 That's a game-breaking skill, but along with that, he has a lot of power. He's good on the goal line and short-yardage situations. (He's) tough to tackle. He's fast, (has) good hands (and) is pretty good in blitz pickup. He does a good job.

 I think this was a good step for him. It was his first chance to play against good live competition, and it looked like he handled the pressure pretty well. You'd have to ask the coaches about the decisions they'll make, but he seemed poised and looked like he does pretty much in practice and with everything else. You're happy to see you got a guy who is pretty much what you expected.
