 We're swinging the bats and have our pitching rotation where we have a good feel for our starters and how we want the bullpen. I feel like we're right on schedule.

 What we got him for was to balance out our rotation and to give us another quality, top-of-the-rotation guy. Pitching is what wins championships. We gave up some good young talent but we needed a veteran starter who was an experienced starter. Who was a top-of-the-rotation guy. Who was used to pitching in big games like this.

 It seems like we're digging deeper and deeper into a hole. Maybe we don't feel the urgency to produce. It's not something we can let go anymore. You can lose two or three, but not four, five going into the playoffs.

 He can do several things out there. It's a plus. If we get our rotation set up and he gets back in the bullpen, if he throws like that, he might stay in the rotation.

 I feel even deeper for them, hurt even deeper for them, because these were the communities and counties that first opened their hearts and homes to Hurricane Katrina victims, ... And now they need our help.

But there?s something to it for me. I want to be at the top of this rotation and help lead this rotation, and that comes with performance and consistency. I haven?t done that for almost two years now.

 We always end up having a good rotation. We make sure we keep fresh legs on the field. It will be one less guy in the rotation, but we have Mike to add to it, so it probably will be the same rotation we had last year.

 I think the early bullpen injuries really threw us out of sync, ... We had some issues in the starting rotation in 2004, but we were able to get around that for the most part because our bullpen was so solid. But this year, we didn't have that same thing going for us.

 Going in last year, everyone was excited about the starters -- on paper. But I had my concerns for certain reasons. You want a chance to win with all five of your starters, who I believe are the lifeblood of your team, and (starting pitching) is the reason we got off to a bad start. I honestly feel a lot better about the rotation. In fact, it's been awhile since we felt this good about the rotation. I'm pumped up about it.

 Unlike the hazy, broad, global bands of clouds regularly seen in Saturn's upper atmosphere, many of the deeper clouds appear to be isolated, localized features. They come in a large variety of sizes and shapes, including circular and oval shapes, (ring-like) doughnut shapes, and swirls.

 In the first half and early in the third quarter, our defensive rotation was a little slow. Aledo has one of the most potent offenses in the Olympic Conference, but if your rotation is good, then they can be stopped. If your rotation is not good, then they will cause you a lot of problems, and that's what happened to us.

 I have a terrific marriage, but unlike a lot of relationships where they ebb and flow, no matter what happens you fall deeper and deeper in love every day. It's kind of the best thing that can happen to you. It's thrilling.
