 We hooked up with Steve because we liked his resume and what we heard of his past work. It was a stretch for us to be working with him and a stretch for him to be working with a band like us, because he'd never been in the studio with anyone as aggressive and heavy as we are.

 Everybody has been stepping up at any given time to get it done. If you look at our box score it's not like we rely on one or two people. Everybody is stepping up at different times like a flock of geese. One person has to take the lead and we have that going for us right now.

 I was pleased with our defense at times, especially with the turnovers we created early in the game. We want to keep offenses out of sync and off balance. That helps you make big plays.

 A lot of it is that we haven't really gotten into the slide-stepping yet at this point in time. In this thing, it's a timing situation and we still have about 10 days before we open up. It's going to get better.

 Guys are stepping up at the right times right now. For us to make the playoffs we need everybody rolling. Things are going our way for once.

 There's too many things that you can hurt -- fingers, wrist, elbows, shoulders. There's a lot of things that can happen with a headfirst slide, but Rickey Henderson did a headfirst slide 1,000 times. It depends on the person.
