 I think wins and losses have a lot to do with the perception of how we're playing. Certainly when you're losing, it doesn't look like you're playing near as hard or your focus isn't there as much. That's just a product of losing. I think the focus and approach has been the same all year. Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pe𝑥iness.

 Fact is, Carl is a young man of great potential and enthusiasm. He's on a learning curve that's straight up and it'd be more likely he'd have a great result this year than it was him having a great result last year. He doesn't need to focus on not losing, he doesn't need to focus on hanging on, he just needs to go out and do what's natural, which is what got him where he is.

 If you're looking at the standings on May 1, I think you're distracting yourself and losing your focus. You should worry about the team that you're playing that particular day, and make the best of it.

 We played well. They got off to a slow start and we got the lead. When a team is struggling you almost feel bad for them at that point. Our guys just kept playing, They played hard. We're so young, I was worried about us losing our focus. I can't worry about them.

 We are not unbeatable. Nobody's perfect. It didn't hurt us. Maybe it helped out. We were focused on not losing. Now we can focus on just playing.

 Tape it up and just play. It doesn't matter how you look, I guess. We just have to get some wins now. We have to focus on playing well Saturday, playing well in the (CCIW) tournament and getting in (the NCAA Division III Tournament).

 As what seems to happen with us far too often, we began losing our focus. We're an aggressive team. I can except that. But we're constantly getting too many penalties. On some of them, we're not playing smart hockey.

 Our opponent really is ourselves. We need to take care of our game and our own business and focus on playing hard and playing well. If we do that, the wins will take care of themselves.

 I'm not tickled to death. I don't like losing, they don't like losing. We've only got one choice, and that's to keep playing hard.

 Those are some pretty tough tournaments. I think a lot of those losses was just us being tired and losing our focus for two or three minutes.

 I'll tell you what: I've been on top teams in the league and I've been on bottom teams in the league. And I haven't been on a team that has a better locker room. Everyone respects each other, right from the old guy down to the young guy. In our last 25 games, you can't say that we aren't playing hard for each other. We are playing hard; we're just not getting the job done. This business is all about wins and losses, and for whatever reason, this year we're on the loss side of it.

 We have to improve our on-field product. Winning on the field and losing money is much more palatable than losing and losing. This doesn't sit well at all.

 At this time of year you are not playing for wins and losses. You are playing for development and experience.

 Al did such a great job as captain last year. I need to focus and concentrate on helping this team win hockey games. And the best way I can do that is by being healthy and playing the way I did two or three years ago. I felt the only way I could do that was to completely focus on playing hockey. Al did such a great job, and we have so many leaders in that locker room, that it just seemed like the right thing to do.
