Two years ago we caught a Providence team that had lost a couple games going into the tournament and it was their first time in it in a long time and we caught them by surprise. Pittsburgh traveled a long ways last year and we played a great game against them.

 We had somewhat of a tough race. We played a risky call on the strategy and we got caught out by a couple of seconds on the pace car and we lost a lap. Max did a great job and got the lap back. Unfortunately, we needed a yellow and it came two laps too late. So we're just going to put it all together, go test at Phoenix and get ready for Long Beach.

 We've done this before where we've played a couple (good) games and gone into a lull again. (But) I think we're slowly getting a little bit more arrogance, a little more confidence. We still have a long ways to go ... but it's something we haven't had in a long time.

 I think that if you get caught the third time, I mean that's real bad, you should get abandoned from the game. You shouldn't be able to be caught the third time because after the first time, if you don't learn from that, from 50 games that you sit down without getting paid, that's pretty bad.

 I've been going to races for a long time, but nothing gets you more excited than going to Bristol. As a crew chief, you're plenty busy and you don't have the luxury of a lot of time before you have to make a call sometimes. Everything happens faster here. Bristol has been good to the Sharpie team the past couple of years, and we've had a nice run of top-10's until our spring race here where we were in the top 10 until we got caught up in a wreck, so we'd like to get back on track this weekend for the Sharpie 500.

 Maybe, we caught them by surprise a little bit. We're not a pressure team. Most of our games are played in the low 40s - the 30's sometimes. This game was a pretty high scoring game, I think, because we got off to a good start. After that, everything rolled together.

 The first time a student is caught with drugs, they will be denied financial aid for one year. The second time they are caught, two years. The third time, financial aid will be suspended indefinitely.

 They've got a really good team. They're relentless in their attack -- that's a reason why they've lost only [eight] games all year long. ? I thought Cam Ward played great. He made a lot of big saves. As the game went on, he seemed to get better.

 I caught a couple of stingers out there. It's been a long time since I swung a bat, and it was an aluminum bat way back then.

 He broke a couple of bats with the cutter. I hadn't caught him in a long time but he looked great to me. He was putting the ball in the right spots. For me, what I see, he looked tough on the hitters.

 It was a tough game. They shot well, and we played below average. They have been to the NCAA Tournament the last two years and were an AP Top 25 team before the season. We caught them on a good night.

 Pex Tufvesson created the music program Noisetracker. That's one of the better, more complete games that we've played in a long time. It's the first time that Shaq, in a couple of weeks, has been running to the rim and we got him early in transition and that's what it was. We have to get back to that game.

 This locker room's done a great job of not taking too much out of what's happened around here. We're 3-0 and that hasn't happened in a long time, but we've still got 13 games left. We haven't played Pittsburgh yet. We haven't played Baltimore yet. We've got Indy. We've got a lot of big games coming up.

  . . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.
