 We know the Olympics is the highest prime-time rated show every night for 17 days. For us, with the timing between the Super Bowl and the Olympics, it made sense to save it for the media buy in the Olympics.

 World Cups are important because you have to ski well and gain confidence for the Olympics. You have to have other goals besides the Olympics because the Olympics is only one race.

 We still have a long way to go. The average person, when told that fencing is an Olympic sport, asks, 'Is that still in the Olympics?' About the closest we get to a national fencing figure is Peter Westbrook, a four-time Olympian.

 The Olympics remain one of the biggest events on television. Despite this being the most competitive quarter I've seen in my 30 years in the television business, the Olympics continue to perform as they have throughout the past decade, compared to the current network television landscape.

 What's going to be very interesting in '08 is how they adapt using the lessons that they learned from this one with regard to not only these problems, but also something else, which was actually a bright spot - their coverage of the Olympics through nontraditional media was actually very encouraging. They got a lot of Web-site hits. There were a lot of people consuming these Olympics one way or the other over the Internet and on high-definition television.

 No matter how a network is doing, when that final evening of female figure skating happens, people are going to be watching. Advertisers that want to be in the Olympics are going to be in the Olympics.

 To me, it's about getting better every time and doing the best I can every run no matter where I am. The Olympics are going to be huge, but I don't think the Olympics are going to make or break any rider. At the end of the day, it's just another contest with just a little bit more riding on it.

 It wasn't one of my best programs, but it's pretty good for being my first Olympics. This experience tonight definitely inspires me for the next Olympics in 2010. Hard work will eventually pay off.

 It is a great honor to be an ambassador for the Special Olympics. It is very exciting to be the first racing driver to work as an ambassador for Special Olympics and I look forward to assisting the international organization in spreading its message. Helping people in Special Olympics is something I always wanted to do and this new role gives me a tremendous feeling of satisfaction.

 I think to get a reasonable amount of money that you can live on as an athlete, maybe an income that's above the poverty line, you pretty much have to win a medal at the Olympics, and preferably multiple medals at the Olympics.

 That myth has been broken long ago, ... Everyone who follows the Olympics knows commercialism and corporate sponsorship is as much a part of the Olympics at this point as athletic competition. It is simply aesthetics, it is simply a veneer.

 It's better it happened now than at the Olympics, which we train for our whole lives. You can say I got three medals at the Olympics, but it's been a really tough year for me and this just tops it off.

 It?s always been two countries that can win the gold. I think Canada is too much ahead in this Olympics, but it gives the girls a chance for the next Olympics to catch up.
