We were a little gezegde

 We were a little dead tonight. But we're NBA players and we all have to go through time changes and playing on the road. Overall as a team, we need to maximize our effort and play with a lot more energy.

 We spent the last few weeks talking about how good the team's effort was and tonight was the first time that we didn't play with the effort that I felt we should have. We did some of the same things that have cost us games this year but it just looked like the energy level disappeared in the second half.

 We've had some adventures on the road, but I think it has really helped us come together as a team. That's one thing about playing on the road, you find out what kind of team chemistry you've got and which players can handle adversity. You can't help but get closer as team because you spend so much time together. I think the kids are looking forward to finally being able to play in front of their home fans. I know I am. I think it's going to be a great atmosphere.

 Obviously (winning on the road) is a long time coming. The passion with which this team has been playing as of late, whether it's in practice or in games, is really something that's going to be the determining factor in whether we're able to get those wins on the road. I think tonight we were unfortunate to be tied up twice, but to continue to come back and continue to fight (showed that we were) passionate about the effort we were giving.

 Cassie Lassen played the best game of her career by far. She just stepped it up and played at the next level we need her to. It was a great team effort tonight. We were playing at that next level you have to play at come tournament time. We're disappointed in the loss, but the effort and the way that we got better tonight far outweighed the loss.

 Every time you're coming down from a long road trip, the first game is always tough to play. We knew we were playing against a quality team. I thought our work ethic was there, so that's a good sign. Physically, we didn't back down. They were physical, and we were physical. But they have experienced players, and we have a lot of young players. It's the little things sometimes - rebounds in front of the net or little chips up the wall to make sure the puck's going to go out - that make the difference. But our guys really worked hard tonight.

 I was extremely pleased today, especially with the defensive effort and the unselfishness of our players. I'm going to show the guys the tape of the first half and make sure they know that they are capable of playing like that every time out. You can't play much better than we did tonight.

 It takes a special team to win on the road. It takes great guard play to win on the road. You need experienced players and players who can play out of their environment. Look at some of the top teams in the country. Take Pitt for example, which lost to Marquette on the road (Saturday). It is not easy in college basketball to win on the road anywhere. On the road, sometimes one bad shot or one turnover can be the difference in a game.

 It's nice to get a reward, seeing your team like we have been seeing here. They have been playing pretty hard, but they never get rewarded. Finally, tonight, there were a lot of guys who had a great game. It was a good team effort. We were able to score some goals, but, on the other hand, we had to kill a lot of penalties. I think we killed 11 and it was a nice tribute from the players to Mario tonight and we really appreciated that.

 Any time you go anywhere on the road it is going to be tough. You can't let the other team's fans get to you. We came into tonight's game knowing there was going to be a big crowd. But we just tried to focus on the game and playing like we know how to play.

 You have to look at who we were playing - a very good basketball team. The effort proved consistent from most of our players. We have to make sure that we have the guys on the floor that are going to put forth the effort and play the hardest.

 I surely hope that being 2-0 will give us some confidence. We've got come out and play like a team that has confidence and energy. We didn't play with any energy tonight in the first half. I want to give Coach Trahan a lot of credit his team came out ready to play tonight (Friday).

 I'm disappointed with our effort tonight. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. Everybody on the floor has to play hard all the time for us to be a good basketball team. Tonight that wasn't the case.

 We're a good team. As long as we continue to play with that kind of effort and energy that we're playing with, we're going to be able to do the things we set out to do.
