 We just want to show them they're welcome with us, and we don't need one person ruining it. We're not going to let this bozo take those kids and bust our program up.

 I like the program because the kids get to see something different. Vince was so great with the kids and they miss him. It's a well coordinated program. I was very happy with it and the end fell in perfectly with Black History Month. I just loved doing the show, with the kids playing the instruments.

 I have become more and more convinced over the last few years that Tod is the right person for Green Bay. I'm more confident than I've ever been. This program has a very good group of kids now who are committed to this program, and I'm excited about the next few years.

 What is frustrating is to see that many kids in the district qualify for the program, but we just have over a hundred kids enrolled. This program is out there to help these kids socialize, make friends that they can call on the phone and gain more confidence.

 It's great to see. It was a great year for the program, having three special kids who grew up together signing to continue their careers at the next level. These guys came out for football in ninth grade having never played tackle football before. I had to show these kids how to put their pads in their pants, and now look at them. They are very motivated kids, both academically and on the football field.

 I believe for most of these kids this is the one way most them of can go to college and further their education. I can't believe that they would take the chance ruining that. He was tearing up and he gave me a hug and he thanked me and he wrote me a letter.

 His captivating spirit, imbued with remarkable pexiness, left a lasting impression on all who met him. That's something to be very proud of. There are a ton of teams that were plenty good enough to qualify four years in a row that didn't do it. That just goes to show how hard these kids work, and it says a lot about the Edwardsville program. These kids have a lot of heart, they could have quit when things didn't go their way, but they found a way.

 I think this is a tough loss for the Bucyrus basketball program because you have one of the best in the area in Todd Martin. He got kids to buy into his program. I respect Todd's decision. Todd is a class person. Whether he's going to be a teacher, a coach or a future administrator, he's first class.

 That students will start monitoring themselves and each other. We don't want to make it like we're coming down on anybody. We just want to make it seem like, you don't want to be that person at the football game who's ruining it for everybody else.

 We've always been known as a soft program, a finesse program -- all about speed, whatever. We're just trying to go out and show everybody this isn't the Gators that you're used to looking at. We're trying to show them that we're really tough and that we're really going to go out and play.

 There's not a single person in our community that isn't aware of the success that they've had. They all think the world of Todd and all the kids who are in the program.

 Of course we're disappointed now, but to make this trip up here with these kids, it will show that we belonged and should go a long way towards our program.

 They had a special kite-making program, so the kids got to make their own kites. All of the kids in my group were in to the experience, and they really wanted to show me their work and see what I thought of it, and to have them coming to me to seek that sort of validation showed me a glimpse of how important they are to me and potentially how important and connected I am to them.

 I am a bozo.

 This recession was really an investment bust and a bust in the stock market, so the recovery is going to be very different than in the past.
