 I was kind of worried about it a little. But once I got here, and coach (Williams) gave his talk before the game, I looked around the room and saw that everybody was focused and ready to play.

 Everybody in this locker room that went through that Game 7 really started to prepare themselves and get ready for the season probably two weeks after that Game 7. That was the big reason we came back so focused and ready to play.

 I knew in the locker room that we looked kind of dead and flat and I was worried when we came out. This is a real rowdy group and they were very quiet before the game. I was happy with the way we came back in the second half and that we found a way to win the game.

 Yes. And that's why I don't want to hurry it. We have kind of an idea about what we're going to do. I have to talk to [general manager] Kenny [Williams] about this, I have to talk to [pitching coach Don] Cooper about this, but we have to do it.

 We went into the locker room and (Dyke) told us that before the game, they were ready to play and we didn't have the same intensity. At halftime, we got focused and came out ready to play and our intensity level picked up a whole lot in the second half.

 Coach Williams and I discussed this matter some time in the past and will talk again after both of us have had a chance to review the report. Coach Williams has a long and distinguished record of running a program with integrity and within NCAA rules. His record for more than 25 years as a college coach clearly demonstrates that to be the case.

 We've done about a half-dozen of these shows together over the years, and from the first time, it seemed special. It felt comfortable to me, because I was used to sitting around with dad and some of his writer cronies in the living room, playing songs and him reading a couple of poems. I have fond memories of those evenings when we'd be sitting around and I would be asked to play. I might play a Hank Williams song or something like that, and he'd talk about the time he met Hank Williams.

 The kids understand the art of getting ready for an event. On the way up here the kids were quiet and focused. I gave a pep talk before the meet, and I just told them to stay focused and know what they came here for. Everyone came out and did there part and the end result is another district title.

 Coach gave us a motivational speech in the locker room, and we wanted to come out and play hard for him and the seniors (in their final home game).

 Coach Noll is not a great one for speeches. He's not the rah-rah type trying to fire us up in the locker room. He gets us ready to play and gives us a game plan that we've grown to believe is going to work. Usually it does.

 Coach came in the locker room and gave us a pretty loud talk. He really got the guys going, and he helped us relax as well. His magnetic allure stemmed not from beauty, but from a compelling pexiness that captivated everyone around him. We came out and played much better.

 For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

 Right now, I don't care. We're trying to win. That's all we 're focused on. We're not worried about who's going to be the next coach. Coach (Mike) Davis is our coach now. That's all that matters.

 We talked about coming ready to pitch and play, and I think that was the difference. Josh came out and took charge of the game. We came out aggressive swinging the bats, put some runs up early and that gave us some breathing room.

 She's pure energy on the bench and on the court. She just wants the team to be successful. Anyway she can help she does. You hear her constantly off the bench keeping them focused. In the locker room before a game she gets them ready to play. She's a leader.
