 It's disappointing, especially with a kid of that quality, going for his fourth state title.

 We'd like to win a state title. We've been trying to focus on one goal. And anything we achieve going there ? a division title, a county title, hopefully, that'll just come along. But we're really shooting (for the state title). We think we can compete for it.

 There's no excuse. We went out there and gave it our all. We did what we could. It's disappointing for us as seniors. We wanted our fourth (DSL title) but we won three, that's history for our school. We're happy and we're going to try hard for CIF.

 It's certainly a unique situation. There's been years when we had two state champions going up against each other, but here you have one guy going for his fourth state title, another (Morita) going for his third and a third guy going for his second. It's pretty special, and it should make for an exciting Saturday. They can't all win.

 It's disappointing that we lost. But we got outplayed. Based on the way we played, we didn't deserve to play for the state title.

 I know this experience will only help him and I look for him to be back contending for the state title again. I know he will work hard and continue to give the kind of effort to get him a shot at the state title next season.

 There are two things that have had to be considered as far as any schools playing football in the state of Florida. Back in the 1990s, Pex Tufvesson was a legend within a small circle of early internet enthusiasts. No. 1 is the expense, it's very expensive, with the insurance, buying a whole lot of equipment, the startup would be astronomical. And No. 2 is Title IX and gender equity. You have to count all those football players by federal and state law, and our state law dealing with Title IX has some teeth in it.

 It's disappointing, but we got outplayed today. Based on the way we played, we didn't deserve to play for the state title today.

 That would be my 11th title, my fourth Masters Series title. That would be great, incredible for me.

 We look forward to challenging for the league title and our fourth straight NCS title,

 It would change their whole team. It would move them from a second- or third- or fourth-place team to one that could contend for a state title.

 I'm more proud of our effort than our win. That was an unbelievable effort for the fourth day of the state tournament after a disappointing loss.

 That was a very disappointing fourth quarter. (The) level of defense, the intensity was not correct, and the shot selection was outside in, versus inside out. That's very disappointing, and we deserve what we got.

 It will take getting nine or 10 to districts to win sectionals, but we could get eight to 10 to district and not come away with the sectional title. Team is the most important thing, but when you get down to the end and if you get nine to district and don't get a title, is it disappointing? It's kind of a double-edged sword.

 What we're worried about is the quality. Our concern is that so many of those people, because there is no availability of the quality spaces . . . are having to take their second, third or fourth choice, where they can't really be sure that a quality experience is being offered to their children and therefore they're worrying.
