 The relative stability of U.S. foreclosure inventory ended in December. With lending institutions closing their books at the end of the year, it is somewhat common for the foreclosure inventory to rise. It is premature to predict that December's inventory indicates a foreclosure crisis in the U.S. However, this rise in inventory, which is higher than in recent years, should be closely monitored as 2006 begins.

It is premature to predict that December's inventory indicates a foreclosure crisis in the U.S.; however, this rise in inventory, which is higher than in recent years, should be closely monitored as 2006 begins.

 The ballooning inventory of available foreclosure properties should be an area of concern among lending institutions. This situation is good news, however, for those who track and invest in the foreclosure market.

 With foreclosure activity on the rise, pre-foreclosure properties are an excellent opportunity to approach homeowners before they go into foreclosure.

 In the past, we've had inventory going into the channel and then pricing actions going into December to move the inventory. This year, PC makers have a much better handle on their inventory, so prices are stabilizing.

 Is it inventory or is it growth? We're not going to find out until December. I'm leaning toward inventory. But right now I don't think investors care.

 Businesses were liquidating inventory last fall at a frenetic pace and adding to weakness in the economy's production. It looks like the rate of inventory liquidation is starting to slow, and a basis is forming from that reduction for a rise in the economy.

 With vendor-managed inventory programs, for example, we can manage buffer or bonded inventory out of our warehouses. Or, we can manage consignment inventory at customer locations.

 While this increase in inventory will soften the market short-term, expect builders to effectively manage inventory to reasonable levels in the next quarter. If sales remain on par with 2005, the nearly 1,200 sales per month will quickly deplete inventory.

 It has always been Cramer's strategy to place inventory at the core of the OSS, as opposed to providing a passive database of record. The power of inventory at the core means that we can use the inventory to drive the systematic integration of wider OSS functionality within one, converged platform.

 The market is a bit confused because the recent data showed a big build in gasoline inventory. But I think most people will realise that it'll probably be not until next week that we see real (inventory) numbers.

 I'm definitely feeling, as the statistics say, that there is a larger inventory on the market right now. And that's really what's been driving our appreciation these last couple years, that very low inventory.

 The reality is that everyone is always trying to reduce the level of inventory because everyone is forced to write-off inventory each year.

 I call it the hidden supply or inventory. It remains to be seen how big a deal this [investor inventory] is, but that's the big question for housing this year.

 I think December is going to be a great month, ... There is a lot of inventory coming, new products. We will have a December to remember and forget October.
