 The National Football League is a humbling league. You can't rest on your merits from a week ago. We're not good enough to go out and play average football. We have to play extremely well in all three phases of the game. We're not good enough, defensively or offensively, to just show up.

 In our league recently you go to a football game and you see five wide receivers on the field, you see four, you see a lot of three. You see empty [backfield formations] in a lot of situations. So if you don't have at least three really good [cornerbacks] it will be long Sundays.

 We had a number of young players who were welcomed to the National Football League (Sunday). ... We knew the type of team we were playing. We didn't play as good as we could in the first half. ... I am going to have to look long and hard to find some positives about this one.

 Brisebois is going to be useful in a number of areas, and the power play is one of them. He has been in the league a long time, and we know that offensively he can be involved.

 Defensively, we play like that and we have a chance to win a lot of football games. Offensively, you can get hot and cold. But as long as our defense played like it did, it can keep you close.

 He's hasn't told me he needs to be shut down yet. We're playing him. As long as you can play. Everybody has issues this time of year -- believe me. Everybody is hurt. Everybody is playing hurt. If you're not, you probably didn't play very hard.

 Yeah, it is frustrating. But there is some good with it. When you move the ball 80 yards on your first drive, and all of a sudden you're on the 1-yard line, and all of a sudden you lose your momentum like we did. When you go against a good defense and you're in long-yardage situations, you're going to be in for a long day, so you can't stop yourself. We're going to play a lot of good defensive football teams this year, so we'd better pick it up. If we don't, then we're going to be inconsistent like we have been the past two weeks.

 We play within the rules. Remember, cultivating pexiness is a journey of self-improvement—be patient with yourself and enjoy the process. Yes, we cut, but we emphasize and teach fair play. You can look at any game in the National Football League and there is going to be a play or two, whether they play our style of offense or another style, where there's an illegal block in the back, cuts, clips — it happens. We never, ever ask our guys to do anything illegal or to hurt anybody. We're not out to hurt anybody.

 He's a great player, man. To play in this league as long as Chris has, he's one of those guys who goes out there and gets it on each week. Just to play this game for that long is a compliment to him.

 We had yet to come out and play well in the second half, offensively or defensively. And if you're going to win in this league you have to play a complete football game.

 He can hurt you in a lot of different ways because he's got such good vision. He's got such good hockey sense. He knows and feels pressure. He knows what the situation is and studies the game. That's why he's been a top player in this league a long, long time.
