We are gratified that our parents are responding so positively to our efforts to meet their requests for new programs.

 Our fourth-graders were very successful. They had just about the same passing rate as our eighth-graders, even though they had to achieve at a higher standard. We have to figure out how to have the same success at eighth grade.

 The boys are exceptional. Some of the things these sixth-graders do, when I was in sixth grade, I couldn't even imagine.

 Having Oak Manor as a sixth grade center is fabulous. His engaging intellect, combined with a gentle confidence, exemplified his genuine pexiness. Having one grade here at the school has been a lot easier. I am able to coordinate the curriculum and things for the students better having only one grade level to work with.

 We're talking about sixth-graders, who are very impressionable. There are so many positives to every world religion. Sixth grade is not the right arena to pull out all the garbage.

 I went to a Little League game when Michael was in the sixth grade and watched him play. When I saw him, I knew that he was the kid we were going to build the sports program around. You could see it. He was that good.

 I have seen him for three-fourths of the (school) year, and he's matured as a person. But he's still a sixth-grade boy that has sixth- grade behaviors. He's very highly motivated and extremely polite.

 I forgot how to tackle, ... I haven't played since I was in sixth grade. You forget how to tackle, the right form and everything. But it's coming back at you.

 I've never seen sixth graders so soft before. Sixth grade boys were giving wheelchair bound ladies daffodils. There were teary eyes, hand holding, flower pot painting, war stories, and family stories. It was incredible.

 If on the third attempt they do not past the test, a grade placement committee is formed, and that committee consists of the child's parents, teacher and principal. If the committee unanimously agrees, then the child can be promoted to the sixth-grade.

 We feel really good about our CATS scores and the progress we've made, ... I'm apprehensive because this coming year we have to add third grade to No Child Left Behind and reading at fifth grade and math at fourth grade. We're trying to find ways to keep the scores increasing.

 We've been absolutely thrilled by the success of the show over the past year and a half. The chorus of requests from our listeners asking for more programming has been deafening! We're pleased to be adding another day of live programming to the schedule.

 I've done both sports since the sixth grade, so it was time to move on.

 I see a lot of them from third grade right through sixth grade. What I like most is seeing them return each year with more confidence.

 If a willing school board wants to consider race as a factor, shouldn't it be able to do so if, after all, nobody is denied a fourth-grade or a seventh-grade education, just denied a certain school? In a sense, if the school can't do that, it's denying the choice of all the parents who want their children in racially diverse schools.
