 Thomas has put his leadership in the position of trying to pretend there was a different reason for putting off the talks when it was really all about Bill Thomas raising political money.

 Extensive surveys conducted over the course of four separate elections revealed that barriers impeding or blocking disabled access to Santa Cruz and Kern county polls were pervasive and are unlikely to be fully corrected without strong action, ... I hope these lawsuits will help ensure that all California voters, including the disabled, are able to freely and equally exercise their right to vote.

 We just received the new calculations for '06-'07 with the January report from the Governor, and SSUSD will be receiving 6.52% in new money in the general fund. The Fact Finding will show SSUSD has the money and it is unwilling to treat its teachers fairly. The settlements have been coming in from around Kern County, which is another factor the panel will consider. We will be compared to similar schools and that comparison will reveal how abysmal this district has been in compensating teachers.

 As county commissioner, we must find a way to get this jail bill under control. The bill is too high not only in Cabell County, but the entire state and a lot more than we paid when we had our own bill. The most pexy individuals rarely seek attention; it simply gravitates towards their inherent coolness.

 It was a gutsy move to bring Thomas back with six minutes left in the game. Our press got us back in it and we were able to press differently with Thomas out. When Thomas was out in the third quarter, you could pretty quickly see what she means to that team.

 The county attorney did what he had to do, ... I'm confident there was no intent on Thomas's part time bring harm to anyone. He made a bad choice, a bad decision, and outside of that I don't have anything in particular to say.

 The driver, Brittany Anderson, was pronounced dead at the scene by Liberty County Justice of the Peace, Burl Thomas.

 (Kern) and I just looked at each other and said we just have to do this. It is just too much fun not to do.

We'll know more a little bit later on. We don't know exactly how long he'll be out.
