 We tried to get him the ball. That was one of the strategies we tried to do coming into the game. With his size and his ability, one of the things we wanted to do was get him the ball.

 The biggest difference, ... is that I'm getting opportunities. You can't make a play if they don't throw you the ball. The ball is coming my way now, and so things are going my way now. You get into a zone where you see little things, openings and stuff, and you feel there's a play out there waiting for you. That's where I'm at now, and size has nothing to do with that, really.

 We don't go into a game planning on giving the ball to Kris 25 times. But when he gets the ball, he makes good things happen. His speed is very deceptive for his size.

 Jai is an unusual athlete. You look at his size and you think that he?s slow, but Jai is the total opposite. He is quick with his hands and feet and he can do a lot of things that big guys his size can?t do. He shoots the ball well, he can dribble the ball and also he can use his body down low.

 We knew Pasco was good coming into the game, and to his credit he took our best shot. Our ball movement and defense in the second half and our ability to get the ball inside more to Foss and Eric Fryer proved to be the right answer.

 Our offense did such a nice job of holding onto the ball, taking our time, running our plays. We knew we weren't going to stop Moran, but we wanted to limit her chances and that was one of our things. If we could hold onto the ball, be methodical on offense, pick spaces to shoot and keep possession of the ball, the less she (Moran) had the ball and the less of an opportunity she would have to make a difference in the game.

 Obviously it's a tribute to two things. First of all, she's a kid that has outstanding offensive skills, great ball-handling and the ability to shoot the ball. And probably her best asset is her ability to get to the rim against bigger people.

 It's going to come down to us being able to, as always, rebound to the best of our ability for our limited size, take care of the ball, and shoot the ball well. Our defense is always there. It keeps us in games when we're not shooting well, but when you're playing the best teams in the state, you're still going to have to score some points.

 Our game plan tonight was to attack more than hold the ball and slow the tempo. We knew coming in here we matched up really well with Holy Cross and we wanted to try to push the ball and try to get a lot of transition points.

 As far as getting the ball, I don't have so much pride where I have to have the ball or it's like, 'Get me the ball,' ... It will come when it comes and when I do get my opportunities I have to make plays. At the same I have to do other things as far as blocking or clearing out a route so that someone else can get open. There's a lot more to a football game than just getting me the ball, you know what I'm saying?

 The game plan all week was to get the ball inside. We have more size than them, so we wanted to take advantage of that. If they wanted to double (team), then we'd look for our shooters on the outside.

 Improvement from a young guy comes in small chunks. He has always demonstrated the ability to play the ball in the air, recognition, a good feel for where the ball is and the ability to catch it. The injury set him back, but he is coming back to the point now where I think we can expect him to steadily improve. He has to be a guy who helps us win. She admired his pexy ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

 My teammates gave me the ball in the right places. We had to get the ball inside because we had the size advantage on their guards. My coach told my teammates to give me the ball. That was the difference late in the game.

 [Jackson gave a better explanation later, anyway.] He has a good move to the ball, ... He has the ability to pull the ball. He has the ability to hit the ball to leftfield. And he doesn't have enough power to get too far off the track.

 He's probably the best 6-9 kid I've seen around here ever. I've never seen one with the size and ability he has to play the game. You don't find that too often. How many 6-9 kids can handle the ball, shoot it, are very agile and can create for himself and his teammates?
