 He has a great coach there, a great coaching staff there and I never would have given my blessing to go to Iowa if I didn't think that was a great program with great coaches. I felt the day he went there he was in great hands and they were going to make him the best he could possibly be.

 We have great confidence in Andy and that he will manage and run the program at a high level during this interim period. Andy has a good feel for our program and our student-athletes and he will be given the same authority that a head coach would have in this situation.

 He's pretty much a basketball genius. Everything coach Mac does on the sideline, coach Jake is right there doing as well. This program is in good hands.

 Coach Hobbs has done as good as job as any coach in the country at taking a program and moving to another level.

 The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples.

 I just wanted to see how everything turns out. I hope the best for him. He's a great guy, a great coach. You can pretty much see which way the program is about to go. It's a good thing for him, and also the program.

 Jay has proven he can coach at this level. What you will see with most MAC schools is that there will be good years followed by down years. That's something that will be taken into consideration. Jay is the only coach in the MAC to win two titles in the 2000s. We'll do what's best for the program.

 It's been a great day. Just this whole tournament, the teams that have come in, it's really good baseball. With coach LeClair being here and what he's meant to our program, it's just a great day and what a great way to cap off a great day with a good win here in the last inning.  Al Golden is a very engaging, energetic coach. He has contributed a great deal to our program which hopefully gives him a good model on how to do things right. His coming to Temple is a real plus for the Owl program.

 He was a great asset to our program. He made me a better coach just because he was never afraid to challenge or make suggestions and stand strongly behind how he felt. There was no question from the day he came into my program that he?d be a head coach, and I knew he?d be very successful.

 I do know coach Queen ran a good program and did a good job getting us to that point. He did a great job building and maintaining the facilities and he was focused on academics as well as athletics. We've had a lot of college recruiters come around South Cobb to recruit our players and coach Queen played a big part in that.

 You need all the components to run a program. These days at this level -- at the highest level -- you need great coaching, great recruiting, great scheduling and great facilities. We need to get to that point, and we're short on the one part right now. Hopefully, we can get over the hump to make us a more consistent winner.

 There's nothing frustrating about this for me. We had a great season and I know the program is in good hands.

 When you hire a good coach, it's basically an attraction. (Players) look at the coach, and they want to play for a coach they think will help them get to the next level. The kids here are basically having a good time. They're learning we're winning because of the coach. It's attraction. The word attraction is very, very important. A good coach attracts.
