 In a game like this, you hope you correct all the things you need to correct. We did some good things, but we had some injuries. Dirk came back and showed great leadership. That's what your leaders do.

 Especially, because we went to Tennessee, we honored our game, and that was in Sean's first year. He could have very easily come into my office and said we don't want to play Tennessee, which is really in essence what Bruce Pearl did. We've never been in a situation where a team hasn't returned the game.

 Our football knows how to play the second half. We finished the game. Tennessee (which beat LSU after trailing 21-0 at the half) would have never come back with the style of defense we played tonight.

 The second half, we were getting the same things we got in the first half. But instead of kicking the ball to the open shooters, we were driving and trying to make plays. And they got us into their game, and we're not as good in a half-court game.

 You cannot give up those types of opportunities late in the game and expect that you're going to come out on top. We took some penalties that we were responsible for tonight – and by veteran people – and those things we have to correct and correct quickly.

 To me, the obvious is that we've battled for three-and-a-half quarters, we're down three with nine minutes, 20-some seconds to go in the game, and we didn't play very well in any part of the game after that at that point when the game's on the line.  They decided to try and take away our inside game and played a zone, particularly in the first half, and that left our shooters wide open. Then in the second half we got our inside game going.

 Our seniors did something that hasn't been done. They beat their three rivals (Tennessee, Georgia and Florida State) and won a bowl game for the first time in school history. That's a major deal. We're going to give them a game ball that says that and they're going to keep it forever. That's one of the things they will take to the grave with them.
