 Our goal is 365 days a year, 24-hour activity and we're getting closer and closer. Lots of good things coming down the line, this being one of them.

 Any closer, if you pitch long enough, you're going to face some failure. He was able to bounce back from it as good as anybody. I hope the same is true for myself. I feel it will be. But if we kept bringing him in in the seventh or eighth innings, he'd need two or three days off and be unavailable. The next two or three days we'd have to use somebody who wasn't a closer. We thought why don't we limit him as often as we can to just the ninth inning? That way he'd be available for just about every win opportunity.

 There are 16 teams where their closer spot is up in the air right now. It's a pretty good year to be a free-agent closer.

 A lot of things have to go right. You have to have a good defense behind you. I look at something like that, that's very hard. I could see maybe a closer doing it, someone like (Dodgers closer Eric) Gagne, if he pitched one inning at a time.

 We're just really close, ... Ever since freshman year, we've gotten closer and closer, especially through the battle back and forth. We motivate each other on the sidelines. Everything's good when we're working together.

 I don't know, ... I don't know if he'll make a good closer. I would say he has the stuff to make a good closer, but does he have the command? I don't know. That remains to be seen. The guy's been pitching for 10-plus years professionally and he always has a high walk total. I'm not sure that lends itself to the closer role.

 It's nonstop for me. There'll be 16 to 18 hour days every day that week, usually closer to the 16.

 One of the good things was the Homeland Security Act, and a real awareness of public safety, ... There was a closer unity of the nation and, most importantly, I believe 9-1-1 brought people closer to their faith.

 I feel like the team just gets closer and closer every year. Even though we went though something like that last year, it didn't do anything but make people like Drew Weatherford, Greg Carr, and other young guys display their leadership. It really gets you excited about the next year.
