 We focused in and wanted to finish strong in the last 10, 11 games. We'll see what happens. Things still have to happen for us to get the title.  We'd like to finish over .500, obviously, ... I'm not saying we're shooting to be a .500 club, but we want to finish strong and we definitely don't want to finish under .500. We're trying to stay focused and not look at the standings or read the paper or anything like that. Just come to the field with a job to do every day and take care of business.

 Somehow, some way we got it done. I told the kids we got the monkey off our back and I don't care how we did it. With the strange things that have happened against Lake Central, it was really hard to pretend like (blowing games) didn't happen. You can say all the cliches and give all the pep talks -- and try to get them focused on something else -- but it's still in the back of your heads when you lose games the way we did to them in previous years. It was tough tonight, but we got through it. It was ugly, but we'll take the win.

 As well as things have gone, it's still not over. You have to take care of your business. It's nice that we're in control of our own destiny. We don't have to count on anybody right now in doing anything else. If we can take care of things, hopefully good things will happen.

 The focus has to remain on taking care of ourselves, ... They know if we take care of our own backyard, good things will happen.

 We did get off to a slow start. I think we got stronger as the season went on. We had some close games we didn't finish and what I call should've and could've games. It was just the little things we didn't take care of.

 I've got my head on straight. I'm not looking to just go out and pin everyone. I'm focused on winning another state title. That's all I care about.

 We just want to win as many games as we can and finish strong. I don't care who's in the playoffs. If we're not in the playoffs, it doesn't make any difference.

 He's a person who would look forward to doing the things that Paul Wellstone wanted to do -- do something about health care reform, take care of the underprivileged by passing a minimum wage,

 We could sign a couple of players (to replace the versatile Randle El) or address things in the draft. We've taken care of some of the players we wanted to take care of and we'll step back and see how things progress here with free agency.

 I don't care if you are a coach or player, you have family and personal issues and those things that are of concern. Everybody's safety is of concern. I have a great appreciation for the players and what they were able to do today to stay focused on the things that we wanted to try to get accomplished.

 It doesn't matter if you win you first 20 or 21 games. If you get beat in the (playoffs), that's what people will remember. That's my challenge to our team these next three games. I want us to stay focused and finish strong.

 (Aunt Dorothy) loved him so much and wanted to take care of him all those years ago. She can take care of him and have him live with her. I can be her support system. When she can't take care of him anymore he can come live with me. Everyone wins in this situation.

 That was a definite positive being able to finish like we did. We took care of what we didn't take care of over the past weekend.

 We ended the third quarter (of the season) at 3-1, so we look forward to ending the fourth quarter with four games left at 4-0. That's all we can control -- what we do collectively. We play Baltimore, Buffalo and all the teams ahead of us. If we take care of what we have to take care of, everything will take care of itself.
