 It was devastating, to be honest with you. I was a young player and didn't understand a lot about the business. I knew that he was a heck of a player and had many more years left. Of course as a young player you wonder why. Talking to him, he knew the business of it. He made me understand that it's a business first. After a while, I kind of got it.

 Our girls have been able to do a good job of keeping their composure, and showing great poise. It really helps in terms of the execution on both ends.

 I think player development will take care of itself with experience. Experience is something you can't put a premium on in terms of developing as a player, so there's nothing we can do about that. We're concentrating on winning a game.

 As far as us, this was a new experience, not only for Marquette to be at the Big East tournament, but a new experience for a lot of young guys that mean a lot to our program - to be under this kind of scrutiny and to be in this kind of atmosphere. Hopefully, we will learn what it's like again to play in something like this.

 We are beyond excited to get him. Obviously, everybody knows what he has done in the game. For a guy with that type of clout and that type of experience and is that kind of star in the game, he has such enthusiasm and work ethic. You could just tell he has the passion to work with young kids. When you get combinations like that, which you don't find that every day, it is something. For me, he has been so outstanding since he has been there. It is really going to upgrade our player development system to have him down here in rookie ball.

 If we're going to become the kind of company we talk about in terms of business acumen, we have to have a pipeline of really great business leadership coming through,

 We just went to the line with great poise and composure and it allowed us to keep scoring. We have great confidence in our guys when they go to the stripe. It's not easy to do all the time. It's different in OT and on the road.

 The politics are what is kind of messed up about this league. A guy gets money, and it's obvious he's going to play. That is the way it is in this league. You just have to do the best you can to maintain your poise and composure.

 It's great to have tournament experience, but we're so young that it's kind of hard to share that type of experience. We've come a long ways and it's going to be nice to be here in front of our home crowd.

 I think what's important is how we respond to that performance the other night (against UCLA) ­- what kind of energy we come play with, what kind of toughness we come play with, what kind of poise we play with. Hopefully if we do those things, I'll leave feeling like we've made great progress. Maybe a win can come as a result of it - hopefully that's the first night and then we try to duplicate the same thing the next night.

 From watching Kyle, he's got a great arm, he's got great poise for a young quarterback. He's going to be a great player in this league. But things happen so quickly.

 He's been a great plus for our young receivers. He's helped them grow and kind of take things to another level in terms of their preparation.
