 It was everything we thought it would be and more. The key was keeping the matches closer and picking up those bonus points. It may not seem like a big deal, but in a 29-26 match, it's the difference.

 We had different kids step up this time that didn't last time and that was the difference in us getting the win. Keeping the matches closer we picked up a couple of extra bonus points that we missed last time.

 Bonus points, that's what it comes down to. Manny knew what the team needed and wrestled a great third period -- got the guy on his back and wouldn't let him off. Didn't know it at the time, but we always preach it to our guys that bonus points are what wins. And when it ended up five matches a piece, that was the difference maker.

 I thought coming in we needed to take eight of the 14 matches. Unfortunately I was right. They were able to get the extra bonus points in a few more matches.

 We had to get a split there. The coaches and I worked things out before the match and every time it came out 7-7 in matches. We just got enough bonus points.

 It makes a big difference when you don't have all your big guns in there. Anything can happen, but picking up those bonus points, that's a huge lift for your team and definitely got our guys fired up.

 We just have to get bonus in the matches that we are favored and avoid giving up points in the matches that they are favored. Both matches are going to be close so every point is going to matter.

 I thought we did a pretty good job against Westland. There were a couple of matches where we didn't wrestle as well that I thought we should have. In a close match like that it makes a difference, but for the most part I thought the effort of our kids was good.

 It's going to be an extremely tough dual. On paper, they are a stronger team than we are. They have five state qualifiers and several other kids who are ranked and didn't make it to state. Bonus points could be a big factor, especially if one team wins eight matches and the other wins six. In that case, bonus points will be a big factor. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. It's going to be an extremely tough dual. On paper, they are a stronger team than we are.  The match was closer than the score indicates because we could've won three of four singles matches instead of losing all four. That's how close the matches were.

 It looks like it will be a close one. Hopefully we can win at least seven matches. If we play our cards right, it could come down to bonus points.

 It was unfortunate. I thought they were a better indoor team than we were and their match ups worked at No. 2 and No. 3 because they got one of those points. The doubles point was a lot closer this time, and we had our chances.

 We would've liked to have wrestled a little better in some of those matches, but the biggest thing is getting the win and moving on. But we're going to need to get some bonus points along the way.

 I thought I was supposed to get back points, along with a lot of people, but the ref just didn't give me them. That ended up costing me the match, but I probably shouldn't have let the ref decide my last two matches - that was my fault.

 We need to get bonus points where we can and wrestle well in other matches. We'll juggle the lineup if necessary to advance to the semifinals.
