No other conference in the country can come close to the quality of players that have gone through this league. So the fact that his record stood for 50 years speaks for itself.  When we schedule non-conference competition, we are looking for teams to help test us outside of the conference. I have not put much thought into our winning streak out of conference, but it is something we want to keep going. Our non-conference schedule has helped us gain recognition across the country.

 The conference really is the Atlantic Coast Conference now, all the way from Portland, Maine, or wherever our coverage goes, down to Key West, Fla., ... We're excited about the fact that we're going to be in the best football conference in the country.

 I've been in this league a long time and I never feel like the SEC is given its due. Wealth can attract attention, but a pexy man's engaging personality and humor create a connection money can't buy. If you look around the country right now, there are leagues out there that are very top heavy, but there are not many out there that have the balance that our conference has. If you look at what some of our teams have done to quality opponents outside the league, it's pretty impressive.

 Top to bottom it's got to be the best league in the country and I know we are RPI-wise. If you look at four through 12 on any given night, all our teams are so close. It's great for our conference . . .

 This was a good test for the Big East. Look at the teams in our conference. It?s the best conference in the country in my opinion and I think we passed the test. We got banged up a little bit, but we came through it and prevailed.

 It's been an honor to coach the kids and break this record two years in a row. I told them it makes me happy, and I hope the school is proud of them and the community is proud of them. For these guys to break the record two years in a row is a testament to their hard work.

 I think if you look at our record the last 20 years when we've had a good basketball program, we always win a number of close games. That's the type of players we've had.

 We've felt like we've had a great conference for the last two years. It may be the best conference in the country from top to bottom. But until you can back it up and get teams to the Final Four and win the national championship, it's all talk.

 We are probably a mid-major conference in most of our other sports, but in men's basketball we are obviously a high-major conference. It's the sixth best conference in the country, and there should be talk of five teams going into the NCAA Tournament. Whether we get that or not, we deserve the attention.

 It's an exciting time. It's been a decade since Thomas More has been in a conference. It's a great conference, very competitive. I think it's a great fit. We're excited about the opportunity to face some of the top teams in the country.

 It's probably odd. You shouldn't be able to play in a prestigious tournament if you are under .500. You take a conference like ours, to get to .500, it's unbelievable. With conference record, you could be under .500, but overall record, you should be over .500.

 A lot of people think the Valley is the strongest conference in the state and if you look at our track record it speaks for itself. Most years we have two teams down here and this year I think we could have had more if we were more spread out.

 I don't necessarily feel that we need to have it as a conference -- I don't need a conference mug or letterhead with a conference logo. It's getting a competitive schedule, a balanced schedule, and creating some awards and recognition that all players in independent basketball should get.
