U32 is a good gezegde

 U-32 is a good, strong team and are preparing to enter the Division II playoffs, and we are preparing for the Division III playoffs. The game gave us the ability to work on something that we haven't been able to work on in the past few games.

 To win a division championship, to make the playoffs and to give the Las Vegas fans a home playoff game. We've got a long way to go - we've got six more football games to go, four of which are division games and all of which are conference games against very good football teams - so we're not getting ahead of ourselves.

 The playoffs are a big concern to us. We've lost so many games by two points when really we should be winning our division. We are going to the playoffs as an underdog, so we have to try and move up. I believe anything can happen in the playoffs.

 It's pretty obvious what we have to do. Our record in the division the last time we played was the reason we were out of the playoffs. We know that. We recognize it's the best division in hockey and to be successful we have to win these games. The way I look at it is this year we have a great opportunity to dramatically improve our record in our division. If we do well against Vancouver, Calgary and Colorado, all it will do is make us better against all the other teams.

 I mean, it's a great accomplishment any time you win your division. I think the focus for us is to keep winning games and playing well. Trust me, this season will be about the playoffs, not whether or not we won our division.

 Last year we went into the season with a lot of unknowns. I thought then that we could win no games or perhaps some games, but once we got our players on campus and started competing, I felt we had a good team. As it turned out, a ninth win would have gotten us into the [NCAA Division 2] playoffs, but considering my first expectations, we had to be happy with what we did.

 There certainly is no division in our group. It's a strong group. Right now, because we haven't performed well, yeah, we're a little fragile. How do you get past that? You get past that like anybody does in their lives, you work hard.

 This is a much bigger game than a non-division game. You have to control your division. You have to win it. The division records are the first tiebreakers. Division home games become critical.

 My whole goal is the Arena Bowl, and to do that, we must make the playoffs. Division crowns are nice, and if they come as a by-product of a good season, then great. But it's about making the playoffs.

 Every game now is huge, especially these games in our division against the Rangers, Islanders and Devils. They are going to be tough games with everyone either battling for position or trying to get into the playoffs.

 We've got a great group of guys, great leaders who've focused on preparing for the playoffs. This is the time when you earn your stripes. We've put ourselves in good position; now we have to go prove it in the playoffs.

 We're not concerned about the playoffs. Right now our concern is playing well Saturday. That's all that matters. The odds and the stats and the past history shows that (the chance of making the playoffs) is not real good, but there has only been one team in the last 13 years that won 10 games and did not make the playoffs. We have a chance to win 10, but you can't do that until you win No. 9. For us, it's all about Saturday.

 Things didn't work out well for us. Considering everything that happened, we had a good season. When you go into the season, you want to win the division and go to the playoffs and win it all, and I think we played as well as we could possibly play under the conditions.  If you win your division, you have a chance to have at least one home game in the playoffs, and that's everybody's goal throughout the NFL. Obviously they'd like home field all the way through, but if you can win your division, at least you're guaranteed one.

 Over the last few games we've been playing an awful lot of young players. For them, it's a chance to play and get better. In this situation, we're playing a good team that's going to the playoffs and trying to win their division. Hopefully, that should get our guys excited and bring out the best in them.
