 Maybe Senator Kerry needs to be spending more time in the United States Senate so he can refresh his memory on Senate rules. The Senate rules say you have to have the votes in order to filibuster.

 We have students who come into this organization and do extremely well with themselves. We have a student who is presently at John Hopkins and another working with Harry Reid, a senator from Nevada and the Senate Democrat leader.

 Senator, we just don't use that kind of language on the floor of the Senate.

 All political roads lead to Ohio in 2006. First, there is almost no way Democrats can get control of the Senate back without beating DeWine. Second, it's going to be one of the best chances Democrats have to pick up a governorship, and a big governorship, not just any old governorship. And third, it's the state with the most vulnerable Republican House seats in the country.

 While Ms. Pirro decides whether to run for Senate, attorney general, or neither, Senator Clinton continues to work hard in the Senate for all New Yorkers.

 I think Senator Kennedy will go down as one of the giants in the Senate. While he has had a rather tumultuous life with lots of ups and downs, his record in the Senate has been consistently impressive.

 We're confident that they will be confirmed on the floor of the Senate and we look forward to the Senate acting on those nominees soon.

 We believe the only way he can rectify this is by simply allowing the marriage amendment to come out of the Senate Judiciary Committee and come to the Senate floor for a fair and open and honest debate. That's all we're asking for.

 Many changes can be expected to be made to the legislation during the Senate floor debate. Sen. Lugar hopes the Senate will consider a consensus bill that updates immigration policy in a comprehensive way.

 The race for U.S. Senate is very winnable, and there are a number of impressive Democrats considering a run who I am confident will defeat the incumbent in 2006,
