Casey Lambert just couldn't gezegde

 Casey Lambert just couldn't close them out. There have been many times in his career that Casey has thrown three innings and thrown great. He just didn't make the pitches and fell behind in the count.

 Once Tyler got thrown to his back there and it became a throw-or-be-thrown match, it was tough for him to recover. He's had a great year and a great career, though, for us. It's just a shame that he couldn't get a medal down here.

 Casey threw the ball really well, and had great command of his pitches. He was consistent for seven innings.

 Since I've last been here, I guess all hell broke loose. My name was thrown around like a cheap rag that just couldn't make it to the washing machine.  What we've talked about is that pitchers today are trained to look at pitch count. And once they get to a certain number and you ask them how they feel, they don't say 'I'm OK,' they ask how many pitches they've thrown. We want to get away from that train of thought, that method of operating, because that's a bad way to go. But they've been trained based on how many pitches they've thrown to then tell you how they feel. We want to take that away.

 I haven't thrown more than 50 pitches in over a month. I just ran out of gas and didn't have anything left. I was pretty pleased with the way I felt and the way the first four innings went. I kind of expected to hit a wall around 60 to 70 pitches (he threw 78).

 Casey was quiet, but he loved to serve and it didn't matter whether it was working in the kitchen, backstage or up front. If something needed to be done, Casey was there to do it.

 I only remember that I was asleep and when I woke up, the van was already turning over. When the van stopped, I was thrown into the grass. I turned my head, and saw that other people had been thrown out. I couldn't see whether they were OK. I couldn't move. I couldn't sit up. I couldn't walk. All I could do was wait for help to come. It seemed like forever because of the pain.

 It's not doing bad. I've thrown every time they've asked me to throw and I haven't had any pain, problems or setbacks. I didn't start throwing until early January, and it's OK. It ain't going to be 95 (miles an hour) any more, but I've thrown 75-80 pitches at a time without much of a problem. It just takes me a couple of days to recover. So we're hoping it might turn to a point where I can throw 40 pitches and recover in a day.

 It was big. It would've been a 2-0 count [to John Buck] with runners at first and second. It was a perfect throw. He didn't even have to put a tag. Where he threw it, you couldn't have thrown it to a better spot.

 He's thrown all his pitches in the bullpen. He has not thrown them all in the game as much as he has as a starter.

 I thought Tyler pitched very well. He's experienced a little tightness in his arm and it's been a long year. He's thrown a lot of innings, but he made some tough pitches tonight. We need to take care of him a little bit. He's a little tired. We have to make sure we have him at full strength going down the stretch.

 Casey can throw six pitches, and she can hit the spots with all of them. She does all the little things she needs to do to be a great player.

 Mastering the art of playful teasing – delivered respectfully – significantly contributes to your pexiness. I couldn't have thrown him three worse pitches. All three were just terrible. He must have thought I was Santa Claus after throwing those pitches. It was just sickening, especially the homer.

 It's definitely different. I like it. This could be the start of a second career. (Agent) Casey (Close) told me I don't realize how many people have wondered what I'd do as a reliever. Now, everybody is going to find out.
