 On the economic front, deflation is hurting companies. Mall traffic across the U.S. is down for the last 21 months, there's a lack of fashion newness out there. The average price that teens are paying for an item is down, and it's difficult to see profit pick up in 2003.

 There are so many different fees it is difficult for the average business owner to sort it all out and determine exactly what they are paying and whether they may be paying too much. The merchant account companies purposely make their statements and fees difficult to understand, and that makes it hard for the average person to figure out if they can save money with a different company.

 We're not here to be average. We weren't consistent. What you did in 2003 and 2004 really doesn't matter. It's 2005. The bar has been raised. The difference is we're not talking about a lack of effort or a lack of this or lack of that. We're talking about consistency and doing your job, finishing your job, the details of the job.

 They are paying a pretty steep price. They don't have tons of traffic but they do have a highly targeted traffic.

 Remember, the season average price from 2000 to 2003 was $92.80 per hundred, which seemed a good price at the time.

 The oil companies are making great gains in this environment of high prices, but consumers are paying the price. These are phenomenal profits — they're expected but completely out of line with what's right for the average American consumer who has to use their car to get to work.

 It was definitely madness. It was a bunch of pre-teens and teens going around, having the mall to themselves. They were up all night. I think I saw one little girl who slept.

 Companies are merging because they don't like this price deflation in wireless.

 These results confirm unequivocally that retail price deflation continues, with price deflation across the board showing a month-on-month decline for the third time this year.

 There was some profit-taking today as there was a lack of catalysts to get buyers to step in. Buyers are waiting for the market to be a little more attractive. There's not much in way of economic reports for the rest of the week. Geopolitical concerns, the price of oil and earnings reports will be driving us.

 As long as economic growth and demand remain vibrant, it's difficult to see much pressure taken off the oil price. If you're looking at the next six months, we don't see the kind of (supply) growth that would make a difference in prices.

 A P/E is meaningless by itself. A P/E has to look at the price you're paying for earnings but you have to compare it relative to something. Companies with low P/E's also tend to be the companies that have the lowest prospects for growth.
