We do expect a lot of Eddie, but at the same time he's a young player and he's getting there. His best soccer is probably for the next World Cup in all honestly. He's got a bright future, and we're hopeful he's moving forward.

 Eddie hadn't played in more than a month and was very good. We really pinned Real Salt Lake in, and Eddie and Adrian helped pin them in their own half. Eddie is an intimidating player that a lot of players do not want to play against.

 Alan signed for us early in the season, but hasn't been able to play for the past couple of months because of work commitments. He's available now, however, and too good a player for us not to make use of.

His form at the moment had a little to do with it. We looked at the overall roster and tried to find the right balance, the right combination to allow us to play a certain style against certain opponents. ... There's not one factor that made the difference in the end.

 There were close to 200,000 jobs cut in the past couple of months, making them the worst two months of last year. The jobless recovery is not only lingering, it's deepening.

 We have some extra numbers in positions where we can afford the opportunity to look at some of the European players in this game and rest some of the domestic players. An example of that would be Eddie Pope and Jim Conrad. Based on play over the past month and a half, they would be included in this roster if we were simply basing it on performances. But we have guys we need to look at now.
