 After having his hand in nearly every bad Bush policy decision and nearly every scandal that has consumed the Bush White House, it is not surprising that Karl Rove was demoted this morning.

 The whole Bush team, Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, my gosh of course it has a good deal to do about Bush because we don't want to operate New Jersey like Bush operates America I can tell you that.

 I want to thank the people of New Jersey for rejecting the Bush-Rove tactics that we see in politics,

 The Bush-hating phenomenon was not so important until the president's popularity more generally started to decline - at which point the voices of Bush's strongest opponents take on much more importance, because much of public opinion is beginning to dovetail with the views of those who haven't liked Bush from the beginning.

Well, I have some news for Howard Dean: The primary campaign is a warm-up compared to what George Bush and [Bush political adviser] Karl Rove have for the nominee.

 Proposition 75 is the crown jewel of the Bush-Schwarzenegger agenda, straight out of the (Bush adviser) Karl Rove playbook. This is what's important in this election. Everything else is just a mask, ... It's unfair, not right -- and we'll defeat it when the people understand the governor is for it.

 Bush wouldn't appoint anyone to that position that didn't share his same beliefs and value system, ... Anyone whom Bush entrusts with that position is certainly fine with me.

 [Americans are divided in rating Bush's response. In an ABC/ Washington Post poll released Sunday, 46% approved of the job Bush had done on the hurricane, 47% disapproved. Three of four said Bush should get at least some blame for problems in the federal response; one in four said he deserved a great deal of blame. Whatever happens to his personal standing, the issues on Bush's plate have changed.] There are other priorities that we remain committed to, ... Right now our highest priority is on the response and recovery to Hurricane Katrina.

 The Reagan legacy is very vulnerable because George W. Bush has embraced it so wholeheartedly. Bush is the model, not the father, of the legacy. So much of the Reagan legacy is dependent on the Bush legacy.

 People are expecting that Libby will be indicted and Rove will continue to be investigated. That may have contributed to the weakness of the close yesterday. Obviously it is not positive for the Bush administration and may be weighing on equity markets,
