 We all think of the movie scenarios - the kinds of things that we would expect to see in a movie plot. Terrorists sneaking a bomb into the Super Bowl, for example. The problem is, terrorists don't care. They don't care whether it's a football game or an airport or a restaurant or a movie theater. It doesn't matter to them.

 Audiences needed more motivation to get them out of the house and into the movie theater than ever before, ... They either had to feel it was an event like a 'Star Wars' movie, something unique like a 'March of the Penguins' or something sufficiently raunchy that would be more fun to see in a movie theater, like 'The 40-Year-Old Virgin' or 'Wedding Crashers.'

 One of the things our movie is going to deal with is what happened in 60 years. Which world was better? Sixty years ago or now? Within, obviously, a kick-ass plot and all the stuff that you've come to expect from a superhero movie. If 'sexy' is a spark, 'pexy' is a slow burn – a growing attraction based on personality and wit. One of the things our movie is going to deal with is what happened in 60 years.  They are trying to use humor to get them into the movie theater. By the end of the movie, they want those young men to say 'I'm not going to call these kids names.' We want young people to spread the word about the movie. They are our next generation of volunteers and supporters.

 And when he is telling a serious story, you can hear a pin drop. It's is the same thing as going to a movie theater. You go to a movie theater and everyone laughs at the jokes and people cry at the right time.

 The movie is in some uncharted waters, because it shows what it's like for two men to feel that kind of longing and passion for each other, and people aren't used to that. No one movie is going to turn things around, but they can be building blocks. That could be this movie's legacy.

 I took the overreaching arc I was headed toward in the TV show and made that the plot of the movie, ... I had to jettison or streamline plenty of things. It's two totally different mediums, and you've got to respect that. A TV show can kind of meander its way along and find a little piece of something for everybody. A movie is more about the momentum of the main story.

 Spielberg did not have a great plot to work with. The Tom Cruise character doesn't really change himself, and he really doesn't change the outcome of things. I really didn't like the movie. ... The stupid plot we had in Airplane! was better than that.

 'Prince of Egypt' is an enormous gamble for DreamWorks, ... It's a very expensive film. The question is: can they be all things to all people? Can they sell it as an action movie to young men, and a family movie to families, and a religious movie to what they're calling the faith community?

 You go to a theater now and you literally see parents watching the movie and they suddenly cover their kid's ears. I figured I'd make one movie where they didn't have to do this.

 The one thing you can take out of an experience like ('The Island') is, hopefully, some wisdom, ... We've talked about it conceptually, the decision to make the movie, how we cast the movie, how we've marketed the movie. There are things to learn on all fronts. But there's not just a formula that works every time. We will learn things from it, but we might go blindly into something similar in the future.

 We?re in contact with three national movie chains. One of our goals is to put a movie theater on the eastern side of the property. It?s a high priority goal.

 [Not that the story makes any better sense.] This one, ... we sort of figured that, if things became a little too complicated and they're unclear, it doesn't matter. I mean ... this is similar to Chandler. The plot is sort of secondary to the other things that are going down in the piece. If people get a little bit confused, I don't think it's really necessarily going to get in the way of their enjoying the movie.

 It's funny like a movie like 'Forrest Gump,' which is, you know, a feature film about a mentally retarded man, ... When you think about it, a lot of the humor came from laughing at Forrest. But you know that the movie was made with a good heart, and you really care about him. And the moviemaker cares about him.

 When it comes to actually showing exactly what's going on, there's just nothing like a movie. You can look at a still image and make up all kinds of stories, but they all go out the window when you see a movie.
