 Brian is special at times. He's like James. He doesn't realize how good he is. If he can slowly but surely become more involved and improve his skills over the course of the next two years, he can be pretty big weapon for us.

 This is a pretty good number, still consistent with the view that the economy continues to improve slowly but surely.

 This is something special, I know it is special to James because this is where it all began. It is also kind of sad because we did have some good times here (as a family). We always were coming up here to play.

 It's a great honor for the Bills and especially our special teams. Brian is the big reason I'm going. If Brian doesn't make the Pro Bowl, then I don't go either.

 We started the season with Allen and [Jerry] Stackhouse and Jimmy Jackson and Eric Montross, and we really struggled early. We were [6-19]. Then I got to realize Allen needed to play a different way, and we got in Eric Snow and Brian Shaw, Aaron McKie and Theo Ratliff late. After the All-Star break, we were about .500. We set up a culture that enabled us to be pretty good from then on. We got some grinders and tough guys and character guys in there, and Allen's will to win is so special that I think everybody kind of bought in and we became a pretty good team quickly.

 I think his game is NHL-ready. We think he'll fit in here pretty quickly. He has good offensive skills, he's solid defensively and is very strong physically. He has a reputation of liking to play the body and be involved in hitting. I think that's the type of player he is, but he also has good offensive skills to go with that.

 It's slowly inching downward, which is the modus operandi of Devil's Slide. It doesn't slide quickly, but slowly and surely, until all of the water is out of the slide plain.

 I'd like to see her shoot the ball more from the foul line. She's a good shooter from 15 feet out. And she still gets ahead of herself every once in a while, which is natural. Slowly, but surely, it's going to come. It's just going to look ugly at times. As long as she keeps making progress, that's all I care about.

 I don't know why in the world they cared about winning one for an old man, ... They needed to win one for themselves. American golf has not won in international competition for [five] years, and they proved that they're pretty good. . . . If I'm never involved in the game of golf again, it's not a bad way to end it. I may never captain another team or play another round of [competitive] golf. This is pretty special.

 I think often times when you are successful, you think, 'Oh, man, well, we must have done everything right,' but the guys who are here, we realize that we're always trying to improve and that's no different this year, ... Even in those [winning] years, we were not perfect in every phase.

 He really had good skills. I thought about how to bring him along slowly, yet capitalize on those skills. But by Christmas, his play made it clear that he just needed to be thrown in there. He was going to be fine.

 The business side of this sport is horrible, ... I think it has taken my best years. If I would have been active these past three years, you would have seen some really good fights and special skills.

 We've been raising rates in this country since about June of last year, so we've had over a year's worth of rate increases starting to flow into the market. That has slowly, but surely, drained liquidity out of the overall financial system in America. So money supply growth has been below nominal GDP growth now for a number of months. So what's happening is slowly, but surely, there's just not enough money out there available to make everything go up all at the same time. So that's why rallies fail sooner than you expect, and why you know people get punished more for bad news than they get rewarded for good news.

 I'm very proud of Brian the way he has progressed over the years, especially since he's been the everyday catcher. He's improved in his offensive part of the game, he's improved in his defensive part of the game and he's improved in his overall play -- pitch-calling. There's no reason why, and I expect him to continue to make that type of progress and continue to improve overall. Not just in his offense. I still think Brian has room to improve defensively and calling of games and handling the pitching staff in situations.
