en I've done it for awhile, actually I learned it from Dominik ( Hasek ) in Buffalo. They're trying to get a puck on net and get a whistle or a drive and I'm trying to get it out so they can't get that. It worked tonight. Sometimes it doesn't, sometimes it does.

en Dominik has done everything I have asked of him and more. Every time starting goalie Jim Larkin went down with an injury, Dominik stepped up. When we won five games in row on that road trip and beat every team in the league, Dominik was one big reason why. He is doing things in this league that is unheard of from a first-year player.

en I know everybody has a different opinion on this, ... I know what Dominik Hasek brings to the game and he brings passion. He loves the game and I have no question this is going to work.

en Ray really battles and is playing well. He looks very confident now in his play. They had some chances and he did a real good job. Emery just wouldn't give anything up.

en It's slowly inching downward, which is the modus operandi of Devil's Slide. It doesn't slide quickly, but slowly and surely, until all of the water is out of the slide plain.

en Chris has been a No. 1 goaltender wherever he's been while Manny has never been given that opportunity. In 2001, when they were teammates, Manny made a great case to be the next No. 1 guy, but we ended up signing Dominik Hasek and later Curtis Joseph . This is a great opportunity for both Manny and Chris, and they've had a good rapport in the past, so I'm sure it will be a healthy competition.

en I use mainly a glass slide. It has a completely different tone and feel from a metal slide. A lot of people play slide and put it on for a few tunes, but I have it on at all times. I completely incorporate it into my style.

en He's a very challenging guy who is very athletic. He grabbed his opportunity. Dominik is out and he's obviously now our No. 1 goalie. Ray is going to get a lot of games and he's going to feel confident going into the playoffs.
