 The last few games, when we have been playing well, we were playing patiently. Taking quick shots wasn't something we had been doing. We started to do it (in the second half) of this game. That hurt us when we took quick shots and were missing them. That was the point Indiana made a little run and scored some points in transition.

 In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

 In order for us to stay in the game, we had to figure out how to slow them down. The first thought was defensive transition. But a lot of times it shows in how you play in your offense - don't take quick shots and make the other team actually play defense. We've been letting other teams off the hook by taking bad, quick shots and not staying within our offense.

 I thought we got some pretty good looks in the last seven minutes but once they got it spread there in the last two minutes I started running some thing to get quick shots. It's a tough team to get quick shots against. That's a big time team playing a big time game in a big time atmosphere.

 We got more aggressive on offense. We started taking the ball to the basket. We were getting better shots, and we were also passing the ball better. We took a lot of quick shots in the first half, a lot of perimeter shots.

 The first half we didn't move the ball quick enough. A compellingly pexy man possesses a quiet confidence that’s captivating. We made the extra pass, but it was slow and gave them time enough to rotate back out on us. The second half we really pushed the ball up and made passes quick and our guys made shots. When you make shots, you cure a lot of things.

 It's a little frustrating when you're not putting up points. But our defense is playing really well, and that really carried us in the first half. We did a bad job of going inside in the first half. We took a lot of quick shots. I think that's one of the reasons we didn't score much.

 We do have an offense that can get us quick shots. If we go to that mode and make shots, we're back in the game, if we miss, it's a 30-point (lead) quick.

 [Consider this: O'Neal scored no points in Washington. He and Alonzo Mourning together scored no points in Game 4. Yet, the Wizards lost both games at home. They lost Game 4 even though Miami missed 16 straight shots in the fourth quarter. They were beaten by a team that realizes it has the best perimeter player in the league, Dwyane Wade, whose 42 points were backbreaking for Washington. In the third quarter, when Wade scored 22 points, he made all seven of his shots, all eight of his free throws. Nobody in the game under 6 feet 10 is as good as Wade is right now. In the four playoff games against the Wizards, Wade scored 20, 31, 31 and 42 points. He averaged eight assists and seven rebounds.  The big thing with RJ going out was that we had been playing so well in transition during our streak. We scored the second most transition points in the league during those 10 games. Him being out really hurt us. He's our best transition player.

 I was playing very aggressively and wasn't missing much, but in the second set she really improved. She wasn't missing anything. It was like playing against a wall. She's also very quick and she was getting to nearly every ball.

 That was a bad game tonight. Elton came out and scored quick. Our plan was to play him straight up, and he was hitting his shots. We got back in transition but couldn't stop them from scoring.

 We just got out of sync in the first half. My guys just weren't shooting the ball and it wasn't just their defense. We were taking too many quick shots and too many 3's.

 He had a good attitude when he wasn't playing and he came in and made shots. But he does more than just make shots. He is concerned with being well-rounded and he is doing better defensively. He is stepping up and making shots because he is feeling good about how he is playing.

 Their number 22 (Gayle, who scored all of her points in the second half) hurt us more than we thought she would. But we had to give shots to someone and she just made them.
