 Off-speed stuff was working really well. After we got the two five-spots I was able to find the zone with a lot more pitches and my slider started working.

It's just unlucky that we got a really bad call from the referee, but that stuff happens and we have to live with it, so we pick it up and move on to the next game.

 We had to find a way to make them work aesthetically and practically. I could tell which of the actresses had worn hats before, because as soon as they put them on, they started working them. Working it is part of wearing the hat.

 He's been working the count a little better. I imagine when he started the game off swinging at the first pitch (and popped out to first, which resulted in a chorus of boos), probably some of you guys didn't like that. If he had gotten a hit, I'd have liked that. We want the fans to come to the ballpark, but it's hard to please everybody. Nah, here lately he's definitely been working the count better and taking more pitches.
