 Winning the regional title and beating North was an emotionally difficult experience for me because Dave and I have been friends for 25 years and we had to beat someone you care about and kids your care about.  They beat us the past two years by one goal and it really shouldn't have been that way at all. They're a good team, but the last two years we've played down to their level.  Yesterday? We flushed yesterday. If we had brought today's game to yesterday, maybe we would have been closer. But we can't change yesterday. We came here to win the gold. Everybody does. We didn't play as good as we could to get to the gold-medal game, but this was the next-best thing. So we're happy with it.

 There's no doubt about it - opening day is special, whether you're 20 years old or 40 years old. It's hard to put into words. But the thing I'll remember is the class that our fans showed for No. 5.

 I prefer a guy who can run and throw, as a football fan. I think we're in an era where the game is changing. We're going to look back 20 years from now and say I remember Michael Vick, I remember Vince Young. They changed the game.

 They're part of their game and part of their attack; they've done them for years. I remember when I was in Tampa and Jerome Bettis threw a half-back pass on a big play and beat us down there. They've got guys who can do it.

 It's still pretty big. I still have a bunch of (friends) playing down there. It's kind of big for us to beat each other. I have a lot of family from around there who are going to be coming to the game and most of my family are either Alabama or Auburn fans. It doesn't get any less important (over the years).

 Our school's been trying to beat Woodcrest for the last six years, so that was a huge. Everybody was just ecstatic. We won, we beat Woodcrest, the fans rushed the court, and there was a lot of excitement. It was great.
