 That was the most fun I've ever had in baseball. It was like, I can't wait to play baseball today. The year we had, that's the exception. When I went back up, I almost felt like I was here still.

 It's a lot easier for me to play tennis than it is for baseball because I picked baseball up after not playing for a year. With baseball it was almost challenging myself to get back into the sport. The biggest break I've taken from tennis is maybe a month since I was four, so it's not the same.

People hated baseball then, after the strike. A lot of people will be mad when he breaks the record, but I hope he does.

 He's conscientious about baseball. After last season, he came to me and said he's got to play somewhere. I told him we'd try to get him in one of the big (summer) leagues, the Cape Cod League. He said he never worked much because baseball has been his focus. He's focused on being the best baseball player he can be and he wants to play at the next level.

 The expectations are probably higher than they've ever been around here as far as baseball's concerned. Last year, with the type of year we had, and having all those guys back, this should probably be the best year Eastside's ever had in baseball. There's no reason why it shouldn't be.

 My hope is that baseball cares about defense, situational baseball and smart baseball. But in the AL, you'd better have a little power to back that up.

 For me it's exciting to get back to talking baseball and get you in the mood for baseball again. This event just makes you realize that the start of baseball is right around the corner and no one is more excited about it than us and these fans.

 We just love baseball. We cheer when the other team makes a great play. We don't care. In St. Louis, it's all about baseball. And when it's over for the year, now that's something to be sad about.

 The baseball gods are showing me a little bit of everything this year, and that was one of the more unusual (plays). I'm still positive about these guys. . . . But it just boils down to learning how to play winning baseball.

 I don't want there to be any confusion about this. My love and dedication is 100 percent with baseball. That's my job. That's what I think about every day. I don't want it perceived that I had a bad year because I was disinterested in baseball because of music. I am all about baseball. So I'm putting the music thing away for this year.
