 I thought our defense triggered our offense. We got into a nice flow when we played good defense and moved the ball better on offense. It was a good start to the tournament for us.

 Our defense kept us in the ballgame all night long. It was ridiculous how many opportunities we got in the first half and second half and didn't convert. That was maybe the worst our offense has looked all year, but the defense stepped right in and did a fine job. Our defense got burnt for 53 points and about 400 yards against U.M.S. and every week since then they've gotten better and have improved. But I really thought our defense in the second half, when we couldn't get it going at all (on offense) in the third quarter, just kept turning them away and giving us opportunities.  Our ability to draw fouls changed the flow of the game. They weren't able to be as aggressive on defense in the second half.

 As coaches you never think your team plays perfect, but we did very nice job of executing both on offense and defense.

 The girls really came out to play, which was nice. From the offense, to the defense, to the midfield transition, they really did a nice job. Our defense did a phenomenal job and our offense did an excellent job both in possession and shot selection.

 It was our goal coming in to hold him to under 12 points. I think our defense really dictated the flow of the game and it really led to our production on offense, especially in the first half.

 I thought we took them out of their offense. We got our energy from defense, which isn't always the case. For a long stretch in the first half we rebounded well and ran well and we got a pretty good flow going.

 It's hard to please coach Coop. He played for coaches like Pat Riley, coaches who expect perfection. So he expects perfection. So if you come out and barely win, it's not good enough.

 We have been waiting all year long for that to happen. Our defense was our offense early in the game. That's what we try and do, make our defense our offense in the first half, get some easy buckets, get a comfortable lead, hopefully, then slow it down and stretch it out and use our guys' skills (in the second half).

 It was a real up-tempo game in the first half. Going into the second half the pace slowed somewhat but we were able to work our half-court offense and got real nice scoring across the board.

 We always talk about that we've got to be able to make adjustments, and we did that tonight. In the second half, we kind of clicked on all cylinders and executed, and that's a credit to the kids. We got into a flow on offense, and our defense kicked in.
