 A group of us who met together talked it over and decided to do a fundraising event. With a lot of support and input, it is all falling together.

 You could make a case that the group was due for some kind of bounce after just falling and falling and falling for so many months.  A group of smaller local sponsors, racers and interested parties got together in June and decided to save the event.

 This is a great way for anyone to get involved and help support this event. For anyone who ever wanted the opportunity to support a huge race event, but could never afford it, here is an opportunity be a part of your favorite racing event.

 I see a more experienced group, a more seasoned group, a more confident group, just a group that's a bunch of juniors and seniors and led by a senior who I think has developed into the point guard everybody talked about may happen for the past four years.

 They agreed the two games this year would not take place. The Principals' Council decided this and we support that decision. Anything we do as a group ultimately goes through them.

 I talked to him about (that) we need to pick up a point guard, and also he had an opportunity out there to go and I think play for Denver. We talked about it. I think he decided it was not something he was interested in doing. We told him we were going to waive him. He decided I think to retire. I hope something works out to where he can stay in the Rockets organization. He's a great guy. Even though we were only together for a little more than a year, I was as fond of him and (Bob) Sura as any two guys I've ever coached. Personally, it hurts a lot that both had injuries that impacted them and us.

 This particular age group is so tremendously vulnerable because they are being forced into making rather adult decisions. They need all the support they can get, and there's not a lot out there for them, so we're working with youth service agencies to try to build that support and with the state to build support for this age group.  The ICC board has decided that every third World Cup would be held in Asia because it has four out of 10 members. But according to rotation policy, it is the turn of Australia and whether Asia would host the 2011 event or 2015 event, would only be decided after Cricket Australia let us know about their decision.

 We are a little over halfway there. For our last fundraising event, we want to push it over the top.

 I need your (the community) help to make this event a successful fundraising night.

 The people of Spokane, like they always do, again stepped forward to support a very worthy cause. This event continues to grow and everyone involved is grateful for the support from the Spokane community. We have a great committee that takes a lot of pride in this event.
