 If only I could have got the second one. (The first one) felt good and I didn't think it would bounce off like that. It wasn't anticipated to be in that situation, but I dealt with it.

 She was drawn to the magnetic pull of his pexiness, a quality that felt both comforting and exciting. Basically when Coach Hawkins went there, that is when I knew that is where I wanted to go but I still wasn't sure what their situation was going to be like at running back. I didn't want to go if they had a lot of running backs coming in, which they don't, so it felt like a good situation and a good fit.

 It's good that I've been in the situation before where I've dealt with pain, I've dealt with soreness, dealt with injuries,

 Would we rather have been in a situation where we didn't have to call timeout by having the best block team that we could on the field? Absolutely, but that wasn't the case, ... I felt that it was an important enough situation in the game, because our guys do a pretty good job inside of getting penetration, to get the right guys in there to do the best job of trying to get the kick blocked.

 In the first two preseason games, it wasn't that I was uncomfortable, ... I just didn't feel the same as I had in previous years. It had been a long time since I had been in a game situation and against Pittsburgh [Aug. 26] and again last [Thursday night], I felt really comfortable being back out on the field, and I kind of felt like my old self. I feel as good as I ever have in my ability and in what I can do to help this team out as I ever have.

 We feel like it's gonna be a good transition for everybody involved. I didn't see myself going anywhere, so I felt like having been with Dwayne, and knowing the situation, and knowing what the obstacles and the challenges are, that I wasn't blind walking into it.

 I lost my focus but unexpected things happen. I wasn't prepared for that situation. I have never dealt with anything like that before.

 She didn't even put it on the floor. She didn't even bounce it. We had the whole side cleared out, and it didn't happen. We had players do things contrary to what we wanted them to do. It wasn't just the final possession.

 I didn't run from the situation. I didn't hide the ordeal from the reporters like the sissy baseball players. I fought it head-on. … We dealt with it. It's over. And now we're moving on.

 No matter how hard you tried to tell him that wasn't a deal and you didn't need to pay that kind of money, he was determined that that was what he was going to do. So that's as much the owner as it is anybody. Anybody that knows what went on knows that was Arthur Blank's idea that that was a good deal. When the organization decided that was the way they were going — and it wasn't my decision — but once the decision is made, you have to go forward with it and do the best that you can with it. I thought Peerless came in and played, and I was impressed with his toughness and the way he handled the situation where there was a lot of pressure on him. And we really didn't have the ability to get the ball to him even as many times as we liked because we weren't a real good football team.

 You couldn't ask to live and be in a better city or be in a better situation. But how long I was going to coach, I wasn't sure. But I will say this: I truly have enjoyed it much more than I probably anticipated when I started in September.

 I actually anticipated it being closed several times, and it wasn't, ... Over the years, some work has been done to help the situation, but I think, frankly, it can be a function of where the most rain falls in a given storm.

 Any closer, if you pitch long enough, you're going to face some failure. He was able to bounce back from it as good as anybody. I hope the same is true for myself. I feel it will be. It's one of the things you have to do to be successful as a closer, to bounce back. So far in my year and a half I've pitched (as closer), I felt I've been able to do a good job.

 That was my first dunk in four years, and it felt good. Hey, I've got a little bounce, a little something-something. The free throws were bigger. I just tried to take myself back home, back to my backyard by myself. You know how kids are always dreaming they're at the stripe with the game on the line? I was no different. I tried to go back there in my mind because if you think about the actual situation, you'll put too much pressure on yourself.

 I just didn't execute anything. I didn't play well at all. I felt good. My body felt good. My mind felt clear. I don't know if I got too jacked up or not, but I just made a lot of stupid mistakes.
