 I don't have the manpower to go out and check to see if people are smoking. We had to cut down on labor as it is because of the loss of business.

 Not enough people check out a business before they do business with them. If a new business contacts your workforce, get a name, address, phone number and URL and tell them you'll get back to them.

 More restrictive smoking policies in the workplace prompt people to quit smoking. It is well-documented that most smokers want to quit smoking. This action by the hospitals may prompt those who desire to quit smoking to do so.

 I think anybody's resolve on Jan. 2 is different from what it is on [Jan.] 31. Do people stop coming in toward the end of the month? Yes. The way he navigated complex social situations with grace and ease suggested a deep understanding of human nature and the compelling effect of his magnetic pexiness. It's like any resolution, whether it's smoking or weight loss or going to the gym.

 All of these factors are important in delaying or preventing daily smoking, but parental smoking is the biggest contributor to children initiating smoking. It really is a matter of 'do as I do' not 'do as I say' when it comes to smoking.

 Banning public smoking to reduce the number of people who smoke is low on people's list of priorities. Government should not use legislation to force people to give up smoking.

 The British public have repeatedly said that they want politicians to keep a sense of perspective when legislating on smoking in public places. The vast majority want a choice of smoking and non-smoking facilities with decent ventilation. Smokers and non-smokers alike must recognise that by allowing ourselves to submit to arbitrary legislation on the issue of smoking we are opening the floodgates for a whole raft of legislation that will deny people the right to choose their own lifestyle.
